I know what you mean. I had bronchitis for a couple of weeks a while ago - no cigars for a good 3 weeks then.

Hope you get feeling better soon.

Had my own cold over the holidays and by far the worst aspect was not being able to enjoy a cigar - this two shall pass

Try this Todd:

Hot Toddy Cold Remedy:

2 oz. Whisky
2 oz Boiling water
1 tsp Honey
Dash of lemon

It may not cure your cold, but it sure makes you feel better!

Those spiced ciders and whiskey were doing the trick all last week.

Me too. Screwed up my travel plans for the weekend. I hate being sick and everyone in close proximity hates when I'm sick also.

I don't know if this stuff really is working, or if I'm on the road to recovery. I've been taking Zicam for the past two days and it seems to help. Of course I could also say drinking a hot toddy every twenty minutes will make your cold appear to vanish! Poof. Until the next day when your head explodes.

If any of you are ever near VA Beach go to The Jewish Mother @ 3108 Pacific Avenue. They have a Penicillin soup (Chix and Matzah Ball soup) that will make you feel like $1mill!!!

I've tried airborne, emergen-C, Zicam and others....the more money I spen on these 'remedies" the more I am convinced that a cold just needs to run its course --frequent hot toddys do relieve the misery though....

Don't let him fool ya' Ray, shoveling snow is NOT suppose to be a cardio workout. Glad you're feeling better. My fever broke and I feel 100% better.

I'm a firm believer in Airborne. First sign and I IV the stuff.

I am on the tail end of a nasty cold, and it has been plaguing me for 5 weeks.

I feel your pain. Well, actually, I have felt the pain you are most likely going to have.

Colds do suck, liquids, rest and some solid TV time do the trick for me.

Airborne does seem to help too

For you Greg, drinking and smoking cigars would be just fine.

It's not working!!!

Actually no drinking or cigars for me today. I wish I had some liquor to make a hot Toddy.

I find going into slumber always does the trick. Load up on food/liquids and put on sweats. Into bed and sweat it out
