My collection is pretty much non existent nowadays.
But back when it was sizeable I never had anything that would really embarass me.

Helix and Astral advertise heavily in men's mags like Maxim and what not. I bet they sell pretty well, actually. I've never had one though..but I'm sure they can't be that bad.

I still have a couple Helix XP maduro laying around here somewhere. I tossed the remaining rockets I had such as a Roly bundle and Cuban Crafter sampler which had something like Royal Salute to Arms with various service themes to them. I won a flavored sampler that I gave away to buddies at the firehouse. Beyond those learning sticks, I do have a few low cost machine made sticks I smoke myself but would not necessarily bring to a HERF. I am happy with what I have these days and what I smoke.

I have some crap Olivas that I keep in a back corner - it looks like brown paper bags were used for the wrappers.

I don't have any junk in mine...in fact, I'm proud of all of the smokes in my humi. Why keep bad smokes around or keep something you'd be ashamed to have seen? I like and smoke all of what I have...

Actually, I still have a 50qt cooler mostly filled with "domestic" cigars. All kinds of generic cigars that I got in samplers and things along with some boxes and singles of more premium smokes.
Probably the most embarassing cigar I have (aside from the White Owl) is an It's a Girl cigar that a friend gave me back in 1981 when his first daughter was born. I told him I'd give it back when I had my first, which hasn't happened yet. The poor thing has never seen a humidor. Looks like a dog turd.

I have several cheap yard gard, and under the proper circumstances, I enjoy the hell out of them.
Besides, why should I care what other people think about MY cigars?

I got a grape white owl with a trade as a joke a while back (like 3 years!), been waitin to see what these babies do with a little age. Other than that I've got an ammo case full of Thompson's, but that's ok cause all the cigar noobs are like "I know thompson!" and they love 'em! So that's why they're there.

I have a few Thompson brand cigars, JR knock offs of Hoyo's and a few left from a box of One Eye Petes I bought on a auction about a year ago. Hey they are not the best but they will all be smoked while doing yard work.

I have quite a few cigars that some "connie sewers" might shake their head at ...
Cupidos
Fuente Curly Heads
Congac-flavored Gurkhas
La Luna Fuertes
Mayorgas
... but I don't give a rat's ass what anyone else thinks about them because the cigars in my humi are for MY enjoyment.

Just old cigars in my humidor.

Not in the humi, but a Courvoissier flavored tubo. My wife got it for me because she knows I like Courvoissier. Just don't want to smoke a flavored cigar.
I have four "Original Cubans" from CI. I thought these were the bomb. Tried one the other day and bleah.

Life is too short to smoke nasty cigars.
Amen, brother, Amen...
I've always followed that general principle and, since I usually don't have time to smoke every single day, I don't buy crappy cigars. In fact, I think I'm already beyond the bounds of good sense in my cigar buying habits and I should probably be stopped for my own good.
But that really wouldn't make ME very happy now, would it? :pokemyeye

Pre-embargo DMB.
That's Dutch Master Blunts. Just kidding, I wish I had some, they'd be fun to give away.
I have a few for the mooches!

I actually enjoy the flavor of these cigars. It too bad they had such an awful name and band design ... which is probably what killed this brand.

I bought a fiver of those Maxim cigars from cigarbid... I smoked like an inch of one and tossed it. So gross. Tasted like cat piss.
I am leaving them in my humidor to see if in 5 years the cat piss flavor has mellowed out and they turn into golden dog turds.

I have a few Pinars. YUCK. I keep thinking that with age they'll be good but I just don't even dare to touch them. Last time I had one they tasted like Poop.

I won a lottery and I ended up getting a ton of dog rockets. They're just sitting there aging. I hand them out to non-cigar smokers that want a cigar and I know will just waste it

Oh I have some Connies but for a dollar cigar I think they're pretty good
Wow, tough crowd! I really like the Helix maduro and the entire Flor de Oliva line. An embarassing cigar? Depends on who you ask I guess. I prefer the premium lines, especially Partagas and RyJ but I'm very happy with my H. Upmanns and Punch maduros.

Maybe not embarrassing, but I have the most of a bundle of JR Alts Cohibas that are too bad to smoke, but I can't make myself throw them away. I try one every 6 months or so (they are 3-4 yrs old by now) but they don't improve with age... :-D
I also have half a box of LaFinca robustos I can't throw away but not smoke either, they taste really bad, still grassy & bitter after 3 years...
Good thing (really a bad thing) here in Perth there is nobody smoking cigars, so I'll never have to show them to anyone..

I stopped buying these cigars, I just have too many I'll never smoke
