What??? If you don't like em you can send em my way. One thing I have learned about the SG, though. More than most cigars, they go through a dead phase where they do get pretty bad. You either have to smoke em straight off or give em several months to rest.

why smoke a Patel, when I have a entire box of VSG Illusions to smoke. Plus if I'm in the mood to smoke a Patel I just pick one up from the cigar shop here in town. I am trying to thin out my NC's in persute of other smoking pleasures.

I understand that, but if I like em I'm going to hold onto what I've got, whether or not it's an NC. No reason to go out and throw everything to someone else if I still really enjoy it. I love the Excaliburs with at least a year of age on em. I'm not going to give up on them for some ISOMs just because I can.

I hear you on the better stuff, though. That's the very reason I'm clearing out most of my VSGs and DCMs. They're good cigars, but just not in my taste profile. I'd rather go with an Anejo if I'm in the mood for a dark Maduro, or one of my aged Excaliburs if I'm in the mood for a lighter cigar. It's all about what sooths your pallet, bro

I don't think it's the habano natural - is that another blend? It's hard to keep up with Pepin these days.
The two I am seeking are on the bottom of THIS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don_Pepin_Garcia_(cigar_brand)) page. I prefer the robusto size.

Oops, mixed up the wrappers - habano isn't what i meant...

Still, the JJ has a "natural" (whatever it is wrapped in) and somewhat newer "Maduro" version -- same filler, different wrappers.

Hmm, I *think* I have a robusto of both of them - if not, I'm certain I have a toro of the natural, and am 99.9% certain I have both wrappers - complete with a touch of plume (~6 months age is all that I added to them, but they're chock full of oils).

I have to run an errand right now for the wife, but I'm 99.9% certain (will check the collerdor when done the chore) that I can hook you up with the JJ's in both wrappers. PM your address, please (haven't checked your profile, so apologies if it's there and I just didn't look).

So some jerk hacked my gmail e-mail account, which had the address for someone (Tedski?) I promised smokes to. If you get this post, PM me your addy. I didn't forget, but gmail had frustrated me beyond belief - been forever now, and not even a "up yours, you're screwed" from them in reply... regardless, I don't have access to the e-mail account and need the address. Surprisingly, with all the self-imposed frustration, I haven't smoked your sticks! :wtf:

Of course, I've had some nice ones - mostly a Camacho kick, some being the first time *I've* had them, and liked all of them (some more than others):
SLR mad (the mini- perfecto) wasn't that great, but I strongly suspect that was the environment influencing it (I had just found out my gmail was hacked and that the "secret password recovery question" was changed to some chinese gibberish)... I'll have to try it again.
Diploma = fell in love with it. I can't begin to describe it, other than "medium-full body, smooth, and VERY rich/ full in flavor". I got leather and something else, kind of a fruity- metallic-sawdust thing that I loved but couldn't identify worth a darned
Triple Maduro (robusto): Ok, need to mortgage the house to buy more of these. (That was only a joke - I'd never dream of that... well, dream, maybe, but...well, you know what I mean!). Blast of peppery spices the first 1/2 inch that went to straight to hersheys milk chocolate til the 1/2-smoked mark (right before the band), then slowly added back some stronger sweet-spices til I literally burnt my fingertips and lips. You *know* it's a good stick if I get a blister on my lips and say it's worth it! err, no herpes- related comments, please...
AVO787: ok, total opposite end of the spectrum, not camacho, and really wasn't that great for me. It had some cedar- leather taste that wasn't really noticeable and was the same throughout the whole thing. Frankly, it would be a great $3 cigar, and ok $5 cigar, but sucked at whatever price I paid for it. I mean, it wasn't a dog-rocket, "want to eat manure to get the taste out of my mouth" type of stick, but it was just TOO mild, one- dimensional/ single- flavored, and uneventful that I couldn't recommend it in good conscience... and that's saying something, because I've been accused of liking ANYTHING that I can set fire to and stick in my mouth!

Well, that's just the last few days, and the usual daily smokes are in there as well: yard-gars to most. This is quite the post, and quite unrelated shy of the "PM YOUR ADDRESS" comment, so I'll spare ya'
