I'm personally not a big fan of cigar international, I'm not too fimiliar with that sampler, but would doubt it is a good deal. If you really wanted it, you can probably buy it on CBid for cheaper. And for all those who want to inform me that CI owns CBid, I know that.

I don't believe I've tried even one of those cigars though.

Not a bad price, however I agree try keeping your eye open on cigarbid.com wich is owned by CI anyways. Could save a few dollars on it.

Nice box. CI does this to get you to try sticks. They have some great deals. I have always liked them. Not the cheapest box wise but some great samplers.

Here's the same sampler bidding at less than $30 on C-Bid Link-O-Rama (http://www.cigarbid.com/auction/lot.cfm?lotID=445632)

The price doesn't seem too bad. I've had a couple of those cigars, and they were good. Folks might be right that you could find a better price, especially on CBid, but it seems like an addiction to CBid can be debilitating.

you could find a better price, especially on CBidEspecially if you check the post prior to this one

Not a terrible deal. If you really want that sampler here it is on cbid http://www.cigarbid.com/auction/lot.cfm?lotID=445632

Personally, though, I only see a couple of sticks I'd like to try in that one. It's a good sampler to get a taste of alot of different brands, but here are a few others I like a little more:

http://www.cigarbid.com/auction/lot.cfm?lotID=445643 (CAO only)
http://www.cigarbid.com/auction/lot.cfm?lotID=445684
http://www.cigarbid.com/auction/lot.cfm?lotID=445685
http://www.cigarbid.com/auction/lot.cfm?lotID=445689
http://www.cigarbid.com/auction/lot.cfm?lotID=447385 (CAO only)
http://www.cigarbid.com/auction/lot.cfm?lotID=447436 (Rocky Patel only)

The Rocky Sampler would be my choice.

When you are starting out, and even when you get further in, there's no such thing as a bad sampler. It's all about trying cigars and figuring out what you like.

PS, you see why cbid can be addictive.

That rocky patel sampler is pretty sweet. I've never done cigar bid before but I might have to start. Damn, just when I thought to myself I was done buying cigars for awhile. I guess you're never truly done buying cigars.

I am a huge fan of RP and the last sampler I have been watching. I really want to try the OWR. I have been watching it trying to get it for a real good price.

My only suggestion is, when you find what you want see what it is going for then bid lower than that. You may not get it the first couple of times but you are bound to pick it up due to other people not paying attention. One more piece of advice, dont go near CBID when intoxicated you regret it in the morning.

Thank you all so much - I will see if I can try CBID next time... it's just that I need them before Saturday :)

But you think this is of OK quality pack?

Fredneck posted a link near the top of the thread, so I wouldn't worry about getting a link up now. I, for one, appreciate the effort though.

Any one of the CI samplers will get you some nice sticks to try.

The CAO sticks seem to have a wider range of flavors, though I like RP better.

UPDATE:

so I got the cigars:

And here is what I got:

ok- 5 Vegas Classic Torpedo (6.0"x54)
ok - Don Juan Colorado Toro (6.0"x50) (just don juan)
replaced - Gurkha Class Regent Toro (6.0"x50)
ok - Joya de Nicaragua Antanos Consul (4.75"x50)
ok - La Gloria Cubana Wavell Maduro ( 5.0"x50)
replaced - Leon Jimenes Robusto (5.5"x50)
replaced - Macanudo Hyde Park (5.5"x49)
replaced - Perdomo 2 Ecuacion Maduro (4.7"x50)
ok - Puros Indios #4 (5.5"x44)
ok - Romeo y Julieta Cedro Deluxe #2 (5.5 "x44)

new - la aurora e. leon
new - Macanudo Robust
new - regent gurkha
new - la fradijon

I am not an expert at all... and maybe someone will tell me if the replacements were bad/good... should I have any issue with the above replacements? cause I mean I did pay $60 or so!

but honestly - if I could do it over (and in the future) - I would order a sure pack - so you know 100% of what you are getting...
