Keeping Cigars Cool

Hello, I live in San Diego, and during the day it is pretty hard to keep the house under 80 degrees without blasting the air conditioning.

I've decided to use a cooler and stock it with icy gel packs and just cycle them in as the temp increases, but I'm wondering if there are any other recommendations out there.

put cooler on floor in darkest, coolest room. watch for condensation dripping off of those ice packs.
