I hunt deer with guns and bow. Any other hunters here? Occasionally, I also like to hunt small game, and shoot trap or 5 stand.

I used to hunt deer and elk in Idaho, when I was stationed there. I got two elk in 4 years, no deer. That was alot of fun.

I tried hunting ducks in South Carolina, I got zero ducks in 5 years, and that wasn't so much fun.
Drank alot of beer though.

Since I moved back to California, I have killed two mocking birds, and three deer........

I got the birds with a pellet gun, andI took the deer with my car.

Like to hunt birds, usually on the golf course. I used to do a lot of bird hunting, mostly dove, quail and pheasant, would like to get back into it again.

I shoot alot of paper critters with the muzzleloader. I hunt deer with the muzzleloader and rifle. My problem is that the hunting is good, its the finding thats poor!

Been tough getting out for big game lately, or small for that matter. I have plans for upland and waterfowl starting Sep. 1. We'll see about the Elk this year.

You should have shot him again, or did you leave the bow on the ground?

I hunt deer with bow / gun / primitive weapon. My Dad and I own a small camp house on about 40 acres here in central Mississippi. Big enough for my family and a couple of friends to hunt, have a good time, and sit back at the end of a cold days hunt around a fire sharing stories and having a drink of something to help keep you warm. Some of the best times of my life have been on these hunting trips, not to mention if I get totally bored there are two large casinos about a half hour down the road!!!!

It was when I was just getting out of high school (about 18). Was out with a friend and he let me borrow his compound bow. I had shot it a couple of times before and without thinking I thought it might be fun to go out without a back up (hand gun). got him in the back leg and before I could get another arrow into it, the hog was about 50 yards from me and coming fast. I ran dropping the bow. Ran up a tree and had to waited 2 freaking hours before that damn pig died. That is my embarrassing hunting story.

Look forward to every season. Favorite season would be small game and specifically pheasants. Followed up with buck with a doe tag or two available.

I haven't hunted much in the past few years since I've been so busy with work but I live in an area that some amazing animals have been taken. The World Record Whitetail was shot about 45 miles from where I live, my dad has taken 3 Boone and Crockett moose, and I think anybody who has ever hunted Mule Deer more than once in the area has gotten at least one in the books.

:scratchhe I should really try to make it out this year. Been to long gotta get out again.

The fishing where I work is phenomenal as well. I work at a Uranium mine in Northern Saskatchewan, Canada. Across the lake is a fishing camp that has week long packages starting at $3,500 USD. We can just head out on the lake after work.

I forgot I had this pic on my computer. It is a nice deer that my uncle killed last season during muzzleloading.

Grew up huntin'. At my parent's house we have deer, elk, bighorn sheep (my dad got like the #7 biggest ram in the world with a bow), bears, mountain goats, and the like hanging all over the place. Only ever done big game with a bow and arrow, but I really enjoy bird and rabbit hunting too. Pheasant, chukkar, quail, dove, grouse, etc are tons of fun.
