View Full Version : Future of the poker room...
Is really up to the usage this coming month. I waited to license the room this period to see what kind of demand there was - or if anyone noticed. Last month, I dropped the tourney table as it wasn't being used. I understand some of you want to play for sticks... so all I ask is that you post a time and date in this forum giving a fair notice to others that you're playing for more than points.
I haven't really been on it because of my spotty internet connection.

I know I will start getting on more. I am almost done with my basement & winter is getting near. By the end of the month, I hope to be able to chill in my basement and play me some poker.

I've "looked in" many times to see if anyone was playing, and nobody was home.
So Eric, if we want to play for cigars how should we do that? Post up in the Hold Em forum that I'm starting a game a few days in advance, set a time and whoever shows up agrees to the game I suppose. If people join after the game starts they will have to understand that we are using the room for a tourney?
I just want to understand how the whole thing will work.

I'm a noob here, but the 3 stick buy in tourney sounds great to me.
I'd probably play atleast 2 or 3 times a week if spots were open.

I will be in and more so in the winter months. I think that if you post a game in the poker forum than the first ten or so people to respond should get in to the game and then have a standby list for any no shows. There should be definite rules or guidelines that you must be there ten minutes before the start of the game or you forfeit your seat or something along those lines but i am down with whatever everyone thinks is good.
Set up a nightly game (every night) at a specific time, say 10 pm, whoever shows up plays.
Over the long run there will probably be a core of 5-6 regulars.

When was the last time you did that? Everytime I go in there it's empty.

SmokingIsh needs to start posting nightly again. He was the one who always brought people in there. He would make a post here and then go sit in the room and wait. Before you knew it, 6 or 7 people were in there playing.

If the licenseing is an issue, we could always post that we will be at a private tabel at one of the other Poker sites. The poster sets up a private "play money" table and we can all join. It might be alittle more trouble, but it might help out Eric and david. I can't get on those sited from work, because I can't download the software. same with the room on this site. So I won't play either way. .02
Let me be clear that there's no issue with licensing it but rather the very little usage it gets.
