I actually am a bit interested this year. Usually it's just not my thing. My best friend is a die hard fan and goes down to Daytona every year for it. I just never got into it but given that there isn't any football, hockey, or baseball on.....i'll be tuning in with the HD to check it out this time...hehehe

the colors of the cars just come to life in HDTV (but then again, HDTV does that to everything)

I just hope FOX has all their cameras working properly i.e. focused
They were not very good about this during football.

We just got Fox HD here in Richmond....I watched some of the Bud shootout on Sat night. I'll catch a few Nascar races during the season....Daytona, Richmond and some of the other night races....
Now if only Speed carried the F1 season in HD :dancing:

Too many accidents. It was like watching rush hour in LA.
Maybe they should split it into two 250 mile qualifying races with half the cars each. Then the top 10 finishers in each race would advance to the 500.
