Just scored 2 from the Tinderbox in Daytona! The guy there was nice enough to break up a sampler pack and hook me up. Anybody know of any cigars that are similar and more readily available? They are a fine smoke.

Anejos are a fairly unique cigar. But you might consider the Padron Anniversary 1964 series. I find they are along the same lines as far as quality, strength and cost is concerned ... but are more easily obtained.

Yes they are, if you can get them you better buy them up for they are almost gone for the year. Unless you pay way too much.

I just found a 2007 holiday sampler ( the one the guy broke up for me) for $90.00 delivered. Should I go for it?

i actually found a cheaper alternative with a really similar flavor profile, the padilla obsidian. really enjoyed that smoke when I didn't want to break out the "special occasion" anejo or pam

Most of the other ones in the set aren't that hard to come by. The 2006 I think had the 858 SG's in it...which made it really cool to get.

Are you looking for a fuente sampler or Anejo sampler? PM me if it's the latter of the two that you seek!

None of my business of course... but what are Anejos going for these days? I guess lets say #55 or #77s.

Well after Christmas I got a 77 for 12.20 which isn't that bad considering it was in Taxachussets. cough! cough! I mean Massachusetts.

I just paid $10.50 a stick for 2 #48s from a local cigar shop.
I paid $15.25 a stick for six at Christmas in CA but I got all that were left.

If you have the discipline to put some Anejos away for a year, preferably two, your patience will be more than fairly rewarded.
