Maybe I need to take a break for a day or two from enjoying my favorite pass time. This morning I had a RP Vintage 1992, and this evening an Indian Tabac Camaroon, both among my favorites. But BOTH cigars were totally tasteless to me. Both burned well, tons of smoke but with virtually no flavor. Hope this is just a fluke. I am two days into a road trip and have had the cigars in a travel humidor. I traveled from Phoenix to Austin, Texas, so maybe that has something to do with it. Hope so.
Has this ever happened to anyone else?

This is to strange..... I smoked a RP 92 Torp last night and it was definitely missing out on the usual taste profile i have come to expect from that cigar. I only smoked about half of it before i tossed it and got out a Olivia V Torp (which was amazing)

It could be the elevation and humidity change, but if you've been smoking alot lately your pallet needs a rest. When you don't smoke a whole lot of cigars, then drastically pick up the quantity you're smoking, you kinda fry your taste buds. I only smoke on the weekends, and have found in the summer when I go through 4-5 cigars in two days, I stop being able to taste everything unless I give my pallet a rest. Take a day off, do something fun, drink alot of water, and try again the next day.
BTW, the other thing you can do is pull out some heavy cigars and see if you can't shock yourelf back into tasting them.:boxing:

Those are both tasty sticks, and it's sad you couldn't taste 'em! Everything else I'd say has already been covered.

I have fried my palette before. I was on a binge. I think it was my palette having an intervention.
