I arrived a few days ago, the trip has been going great. I'm here all month, this is my first time being here - I can easily see myself looking into property here.
What a beautiful place.
Brought some great smokes to enjoy -

Anyone else been to Tahoe - or have somewhere up here I should visit?

I've never been to Lake Tahoe, but remind me to schedule my next vacation around where you are going! Those are some NICE smokes! Did you save the Cohiba for a special night?

I own a timeshare in Lake Tahoe on the South Shore. It's at Stardust, on the main drag about a block from the state line on the California side. It's across the street from the Gondola for the skiers and walking distance to the casinos for the gamblers. My family has owned it for years and just watched the properties surrounding it improve over time. We were real excited when the gondola went in across the street. I can only imagine how much it's worth now compared to when we bought it. It is definitely a beautiful place, both in winter and summer.

I love south lake Tahoe. I've been going all my life. Heavenly Ski resort is on of my favorite mountains and with the new gondola it is just super easy. My wife acctually went to elementary school there. I suggest taking the gondola up to the top for lunch and some sight seeing. Emerald bay is a beautiful day trip, but if you ask a local where the BEACH is, there are some cool rocks to jump off of. of cours you have to swim to then so expect some "shrinkage", that water is damn cold.

I ended up coming home early, unfortunately. The rest of the family is still there, I had to come back for work.
I'm hoping to go back up and spend the rest of the month with the family.
Emerald Bay was AWESOME Dave!!

Tahoe is AWESOME! Went there once, for Spring Break, back in college (16 years ago!?), with some buddies. Skied all day at Heavenly and then gambled/partied all night at the casinos, quite a deal! I went home broke...lol

Emerald Bay holds a dear place in my heat. I lost my virginity to a little hottie in my granddad's boat late one night, right on in the middle of Emerald Bay. good stuff.

I was in Tahoe back in 2002 for my cousins wedding. I too brought cigars with me to smoke. I was staying at the old Olympic Village rooms and while I was sitting outside smoking some dickholes in the room next to me started hooting and hollaring about the smoke. "I travel a blah blah hundred miles from the city to escape pollution and I get this shit up in the mountains too!" Needless to say instead of calmly telling me they did not like the smoke and politely asking me to put it out they yelled like 5 year olds. So I lit up another one about 10 minutes after I finished a Natural Jucy Lucy(back during my beginning days of smoking).
I loved Lake Tahoe though it was beautiful and I even saw a MB Unimog running around there.

Been there so many times since I was a kid about 50 years ago. It is unrecognizable anymore as how it used to be. It was the most beautiful place I had ever been to and over the last 10 years is turning into just another mountain area. The north shore is still nice but South shore has turned into just another Pigeon Forge, TN without the Dollywood experience. I wish it was like it was in the 60's and 70's when everything was unpolluted,,,you could smell the pine trees all day long and the south shore main drive wasn't like the 405 in LA. Ahhhhh, nostalgia is a wonder. As they say, you can't go back home.
