I recently ordered from then and I have been trying to get a hold of them with no responses. I've called and left a voice mail and I've also emailed four or so times. Besides the lack of responses they took almost two weeks to mail the cigars out. When I emailed asking why I got no response, big surprise.

I'm just checking on what kind of experience anyone else has had with them.

My order was for two boxes of Miami Salomons and about half of them between the two boxes were badly damaged. I tried contacting them and never got a response. They are not an authorized Padilla dealer (shame on me) so Padilla cannot do anything replacement wise. Ernesto did email me offering a lost cost replacement though, SERIOUS KUDOS to him if you ask me.

I'd rather not attack a retailer in such a manner but if this is how they treat a customer screw them. I don't want any of you guys getting the same treatment. I emailed them with a "if you don't respond I will let this treatment be known" message. To which they didn't not respond.:hammersma

Wow that sucks. I ordered a bunch of those cheappy flavored smokes they have about 2 years agao and I smoked about 5 of them before i decided I wanted to smoke real cigars, and tossed the rest in a tupperware. I got what I expected, but the service did suck. like two weeks to get em shipped.

i believe i may have tried to place an order with them several months ago. it was the excalibur maduro epicures. I placed my order via email, got a notification that my order was processing and that was it. i sent several emails asking for an order status with no repsonse. I got a phone number and called numerous times and never even got so much as an answering machine. After about a month i sent an email that said to cancel my order, your business sucks, and good ridence.

I have one guy on cigarlive saying he had prompt service. Maybe they know the three of us were from botl.org? haha

They do suck. Do you think it would be out of line to package up some dogshit and send it in the mail. Well forget about out of line is there any laws against it? I will call it "sclupting clay" on the customs form. "you gave me some shitty service so I wanted to give you a little slice of your own service"

That might be considered a bio hazard aND COULD BE AN ISSUE. The was a website called Smellypoop. com that used to send dof shit and dirty baby diapers out for peopl as hate mail. They have now switched to rubber poo. My guess is there is a rule if not law against it. the rubber poo might be funny though.

I had their site bookmarked until about 30 seconds ago. Never dealt with them. Something about their name didn`t appeal to me.

Although I have never dealt with them, i know people who have. Sometimes it's a great transaction and other times it's a complete nightmare. I wouldn't order from them based off of one complaint that I heard of, but I'm not about to completely bash the company.

There are too many reputable vendors out there to mess with cheapercigars.com and would gladly give my business to them just like I would a B&M.

If you received damaged goods and they wont make it rite or even respond to your communications have you considered raising a dispute with your credit card company? I bet a threat of not getting paid would get them talking. Just a suggestion, hope you get it worked out.

I'm with Dave on this one.. what if Customs opens the package on arrival won't be pleasant at all and they may keep an eye out for when you hit US soil.. there may be no law against mailing dog poo but there are a boat load of consumer protection laws you might want to take advantage off, first step being you call the credit card company and ask them to hold the payment though considering how long they've taken to make good on your order the payment may already have been processed. Doesn't hurt to try though and smack them b*tches hard!

See this is exactly why I love this place. I need a little voice of reason every now and then. I never thought to call my credit card company. I will do that today and see what they say.

Okay guys little update on this.

I never attempted to stop payment on the order but I just filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I'll see how that works out. Just in case anyone wants to know their real company name is Fame Tabacconist. I confirmed it through a picture on their site. I was a bit confused at first because that was the only one to come up with the phone number.

Depending on how you paid for them you can always contact your credit card company and dispute the charge if you tried in good faith to straighten your issues out. If the cigars were damaged you have every right to dispute the charge unless you paid by debit card,,then you are screwed. Hope you get this straightened out and by the way, I have not used these guys even though I have been to the website. They just looked sketchy to me for some reason I couldn't put my finger on but now I see why.

I used to buy a bunch of stuff from them, but that was about 4 years ago. When they have specials, they're hard to beat! Maybe they changed management or just got fat and lazy or something. I haven't ordered from them in years, tho, and I'm sure they could have changed a lot of stuff around (like going from not sucking to sucking) since I've last dealt with them.
