Hi,

I'm looking for some tips for good non-cuban petit coronas or other smaller cigars, like short panatelas, in the 20-30-minutes-to-smoke range (not cigarillos). I've mostly had small cubans in these sizes but for price and variety reasons I'd like to try some NC's.

So which are your favourite small cigars?

Cheers
Magnus

This 5 Vegas Shortie is very tasty for a small cigar and quite affordable....it offers a 20-30 minute smoke.

The only short non-Cuban I've tried is the AF Hemmingway Short Story.. for Cubans nothing beats a Montecristo Petit Edmundo

For an NC, I would say the Tat Havana VI Angeles

For a CC, I would say the PLPC.

But, my life isn't over yet. Have a lot to try out.

I generally don't like small cigars, but on those rare occasions when I smoke them, I like maduro Fuente Cuban Coronas (5.25 X 45) or Petit Coronas (5 X 38). I would rather smoke a robusto and waste some of it than smoke a narrow gauge cigar, but JMO YMMV.

I'd have to throw in the Guapo Junior at 4 5/8 inch 42 ring , very nice smoke. If you like full flavor try the Illusione 68 4 inch 44 ring and if you like the PAM 1964 1926 lines they have some tiney smokes, I like the PAM64 Principe 4 1/2 inch 46 ring.

I'm down with the Guapo Juniors and Padilla 1932 Perlas. I will be making a judgement on the new DPG Blue Preferidos(thanks matt).

A lot of good suggestions - I second the Padilla Perla's, Illussione 68's & especially the Padron 1926 #35's! The VSG Tres Mystique is great as well..

As of now mine would be the

Litto Gomez Diez - Oriental
Rocky Patel - Sun Grown & Vin. '92
Opus X - #5 (Strong little thing!!!)

Don't really like to many of the petite corona's though.

I`ve been smoking the 601 Habano Guapito (4x32) lately. A tasty, quick smoke that (IMHO) is equally good with your morning coffee or a cold beer.

Love them Noellas

If you want something a bit milder, Short Stories are a good choice.

CC - PLPC is hard to beat.

Good question Magnus. Taking notes myself, must try the Illusion MK. I've been looking for something small to smoke. Hav'nt found many small cigars I like, AF Short Story not too bad..I've had some draw issues with the small red Tats...
