After a very short time with this great hobby I got to thinking about how many pounds of beans I've already acquired and wondering how much is too much.
Including what's left of the eight 1/2lb samples (4lbs) that came with my roaster I have somewhere between 30 and 40 lbs. of green beans in different varieties. I also have about 14 lbs. on the way.
I've already got a few folks locally who I've been giving some of the roast to and that's likely to increase so between that and my own household consumption I'm sure I'll be able to use these up before they are past their prime. The problem is, I keep seeing new beans to try and I don't want to miss out on the crop so I keep ordering more.
How much do you keep on hand?

None for me. I am too lazy to brew and grind.

The amount varies, never less than 10 lbs, upwards of 65 / 70 right now. I just got in 14 lbs. yesterday. This spread over about 15 to 20 varieties.
