Pete Johnson Event Review 1/9/09 - Michigan

Well the event was awesome last night with Pete in snowy Michigan. The place was packed, and Pete was as gracious as he always is with talking to his people. I was lucky enough to spend quite a bit of time with my friend and we talked quite a bit about what's hapnin with him and the Tatuaje lines.


First of all, the Cojonu 09 is still being picked at by Pete. You know how he is. If it's not perfect, it's not ready. He has told me he expects to release these bad boys around the April time frame. So there's a little time to save your pennies.

Secondly, is the new "price concious" line called Ambos Mundos. Pete was hoping to have gotten these out for January. Expectations are that they are released February.

Now some interesting information. Due to popular demand, Pete is thinking of a larger release for the Monster Series this year. He is upping the box quantity to 1300 boxes (yea, there has to be a "13"). The wildest thing is that he is going to up the ante. I really want to share this with you, but I think Pete should share it if he wants. I'll tell you this, it is quite a kicker to the release. Can you say "Willie Wonka"?

UPDATE: I forgot to mention (don't know how). I don't think THE BLACKS are dead. Stay tuned for future information on that.

Oh, and I found out that Pete kept box #1-#13 of his Frank release. What is kinda cool about that is, I have box #14. I got the first "non Pete owned" released box of The Frank. :grin:

I had to set down my second Black Robusto to show my brother in law how to work the camera and didn't pick it back up.

Another funny. I had taken my empty Frank box to have Pete sign. I had it on the table with my other stuff and I can't tell you how many people had to pick it up and check it out. I almost feel like it was violated. Had to keep an eye on it so it didn't walk off.

The Frank is not going to be "re-released" that I know of. That is done. This years release will be called "The Drac" for Dracula. I got the low down on what the packaging will look like and it will be Bad Ass to say the least. The

Hey Hendy, did he talk about the overruns at all? Someone was telling me that Pete had made a statement about them being more widely available soon...

I just reread this and learned about the Ambos Mundos...I'm totally pumped! I know the Series P is a cheaper line, but it's still out of my everyday range. Can't wait to try the new ones!
