So i am looking into diving into the MAC world..... I am interested in purchasing a notebook from Apple but before i began my search i wanted to hear what the other Apple users had to say about their computers before i take the plunge...

Any response will be appreciated thanks...

I was streaming the webcast from my iBook.

What's there you need to know? Go get one already. Actually, iBooks are due for an update according to http://buyersguide.macrumors.com which is based mainly on model refesh time lapse. The Intel powered mac's won't be here until next year.

I have a 12" PowerBook for work and it's nice. I wish it was a 15" but it works well. I just got a new Gateway M460 laptop and it rocks! I can do pretty much anything I want with it including video and audio work. It blows my Mac away.

You'll like it once you get used to it. I like mine but I use the Gateway much more for what I do.

That's a sweet little machine bro :)

Mac OS X is a totally different beast than Windows. It took me a couple of weeks to get used to, but once you do it's alot of fun. If you ever need any help, drop me a line by email, IM or phone.

Oh man...glad to hear you are joining the "other" dark side...haha!

I'm actually a campus rep for apple, so if you have ANY questions...PM away bro! I'm using a 12" powerbook too, and love it. Tons of power, plenty of memory, DVD burner, and a freakin 80 gig hard drive...all for $1499...can't argue with that!

I've been on Macs solely since 91 or so. Be happy to put my two cents in whenever.

I have a 1ghz 12" PB and really love it. I have to take it in for repairs soon, I have been putting it off cause I don't want to have to use my crappy PC and be without my mac.

If you are new to the mac world it is good to try and forget what you already know and pretend like you have never used a computer, a lot of times this will let you learn the mac way of doing things.

And if you are looking for any software to replace a function you had on your PC I would reccomend http://www.macupdate.com or http://www.versiontracker.com
