OK, who plays? Online? Neighborhood? Casino? What's your game? I know we have some "play-ahs" on here, so who are ya?

I'm mainly a Texas Hold'em guy, but also enjoy most other games. I stay away from the "dealer's choice" games, but have played in a few that were just insane.

If you play online, where? I'd love to play a BOTL tournament at sometime...just don't know if we have the interest.

BOTL tourney sounds cool.

I like to play hold'em, baseball, follow the queen...

I have some vague, not-quite-formed thoughts on a BOTL Hold'em tourney...There would be a nominal buy-in ($20 or so), you would need to join a site I'm a member of...and you would be contributing to a charity (Leukemia & Lymphoma Societ) as well as having a chance at a box of cigars or something...gotta gauge interest first...would need at least 10 people total...

I'd be interested ...

I might be interested. I play hold 'em with some of my friends and I play online (no cash) at ultimate bet.com.

Alrighty then...this is starting to look up. Need about 6 more people interested and I can make a run at this.

The site would be Pacific Poker. I would ask that no one interested sign up before pm'ing me. I'll need folks to sign up through the links on my blog (outkicked.blogspot.com) so that I get the sign up bonus. That bonus will be the money donated to the charity and used for the purchase of the 'gars.

Keep that interest flowin' in folks...

Umm. After reviewing your blog I have to admit that I am a little scared to play against you. Your passion for poker is quite impressive.

Heheeh, thanks for that Hambo. Not to worry. Any winnings from this tournament that I manage will be going to charity. And I'm thinking their may be a bounty on my head as well. :sarcastic

Not to mention, passion and skill are two different things. :bouncetau

I have a Pacific Poker account, but I've been too freaking busy to play on it since like March. I'd be game for a tournament, tho. I mostly do texas hold 'em, but my dad's been getting me into 7-card stud. He plays online and is always winning the tournaments and shit.

I'd definitely be interested in a poker tourney. I'm a member of a bunch of sites, but not Pacific. I have found it quite hard to register credit cards on these sites. If that is too much of a pain then I'm in!

I played poker last Saturday night for the first time in many years. I had no idea what was going on most of the time but I was in the company of good friends and smoking great cigars. I believe that beats a Royal Flush.

Allllllllllllllll-righty then! Bunch of activity here in the past few days.

Here's what I have as far as interested folks:

Poni
Tedski
Hambo
Halon
Busto
Tobby4
WindowRx
Caudio51
Tubaman

That gives me 9 people who would be new sign-ups and msyelf and Halon who are already on Pacific. What I need is a PM from each of you who is interested letting me know you are in. We'll have to wait a bit until Tedski gets back, but I figure either Mid December, or right after the first of the year for the tournament so that everyone has plenty of notice. Once I have everyone confirmed, I'll get with Pacific and see about setting up a private Hold 'em Tournament. I'll keep the buy-in right around $20 if everyone is cool with that? You will be playing for 1rst-3rd place just like a normal online tourney, however there is more.

Each of you will need to sign-up to Pacific through my blog (outkicked.blogspot.com)which will award me a bonus. From that bonus, part of the money will be donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society while the other part will be used to purchase a box of cigars. You know...macanudos...white owls...something like that (just kidding!). That box will be up for grabs as well though I'll let everyone vote on how we do that (winner takes all, split between top three places, whatever). I will not be eligible for the box of cigars. If I win it, someone will be bombed.

So, you will need to be willing to sign up through my blog (outkicked.blogspot.com) for Pacific and make a deposit. I would recommend at least $30 as that will cover the entrance fee ($20) and any "juice" from the site (usually around $2 extra). However, as Pacific matches 25% of your deposit, you are better off putting as much in as you can handle (up to $400 as the match is only up to $100). I don't want to get into it on the open site, but feel free to ask me for details in the PM and I'll explain why this option is so much better.

OK...so...who's in?

Beginner's luck's a powerful force! Seriously, think about the charity! For less than a fiver you get a chance at some nice smokes and you get the chance to trash-talk anyone you knock out of the tournament! HAHA
