If I can resist smoking this Cohiba Tubo from Tedski what is the best way to put some age on it. In the tube or out of the tube?

I leave them in the tube but loosen the cap while in storage.
BUT, if you are like me......you are going to have one hell of a time getting any age on that baby! :rolling:

Some people like to opern the tube for a few days to allow the cigar to stabilize and then close it.

I just throw 'em in th humi closed bacause I know I will ba smoking them sooner than later.

That's probably what will happen with this one!

But it's good to know for the future. Thanks

I haven't had but a few aged tubes (>20 years age) but I'd leave it in the tube with cap tight. If you are going to smoke it within 5 years it really doesn't matter, much. JMO

Other than the difference of either opening the cap for a few days to equalize or not, the concsensus I've seen is closed, nice and tight. What Buckwheat says is truth, but I never know how long something's going to last. And on the off chance I manage to bury something deep enough that it gets more than 5 years of age on it, I want that tube to have been closed nice and tight.

I figure that if they came closed tightly in the tube then that's the way they're meant to be kept so that's the way I keep them.

Tight for me. Keeps the flavors locked inside. It's part of the same philosophy that slide lid boxes are better for aging than dress boxes.

One thing I noticed on one of the 20+ y.o. tubos I have smoked is that the cap can get really tight on ya.

Speaking as a 20+ year married dude I find it hard to believe that anything gets tighter after all those years. :rolling::rolling::rolling:

I just celebrated 21 years and have found it is harder to get in to........don't think tight has anything to do with it!
