Been waiting for these for a while. There was a limit of two per size on the Anejos, and NO limit on the Forbidden X.

I e-mailed Holt's a few weeks ago and they said they didn't think they were getting any. Sounded strange to me. Did you get them from Holt's in the past?

I've gotten Anjeos and Opus from them this summer. They had a bunch of it too.
I went to the Townsend store.

I wouldn't believe them...They were selling Anejos by the box earlier in the year. I heard of some people calling in to get'm.

I'll give a scouting report when I get back.

All this talk of Anejo's has made me dig one from last year from the bottom of the cooler. I'm heading out tp roast some coffee in the garage and will spark it up. The only other one I've had was one night last winter, may have been Christmas Eve. I was outside and it was pretty cold. I remember the flavor being OK but it was kind of plugged and kept going out so I ditched it. I was keeping the NC humi at 70RH at the time and the cold may have been causing the problems. It's 65RH now so I'm hoping for better results.

It did sound strange that they wouldn't have them. They pretty much get it all at some pretty good prices to boot.

Yeah they always seem to have plenty of Opus. Holt's was pretty much a weekly stop for me before joining the BOTL. I can't remember why I stopped going, huh?

Thats a great score.
Its amazing how they did not limit the Forbidden as well.
The Anejos are one of my Non Cuban Favs. The ash that they produce is just awesome.

I just wish ourt local tinderbox got stuff like that more often.
When the get theis opus they are like $18 each
I have had one of the Opus when my wife bought me one for christmas and have only had one anejos.
Its pretty funny that In all my years of smoking I have not had more of those 2 cigars.
Thankfully I have tried most of the other hharder to get cigars.
I still hope to one day try one of the forbidden X or at least see the DVD.
Out tinderbox is a good store for pipes and Tobacco but suck on the slection of cigars and prices.
They tend to charge $3-4 more per stick than they should.
I hope to some day be able to run a full Tobacco store with tons of tinner pipe tobaccos and a huge selection of pipes.
any one got $200k to loan me?
I can wish though.

Nice website! I sent them an e-mail to let me know what they have.
Holt's is my local cigar shop so it would be nice to get them there if possible. Plus the prices are usually great.
Thanks for the link.

The website I posted is a cigar store that is owned and run by the Fuentes. I believe the original Arturo Fuente's brother is the VP, and his son is the president. They get all the good, rare stuff first. Unless you know them well, then you have to order from the front of the store - it is not like a regular shop (I guess they don't want people to see exactly what they have for whatever reason).

You also need to pick up a box of something else usually to get the anjeos

Yea that's what I was thinking you had to do too. Atleast that's what I had to do when I was still smoking n/c's. I think it has to be worth $25 or more

Not really. I have been down there about four times in the past three weeks, and each time I have bought the max amount of anejos ( 2 per size per day) and in total about 20 Forbidden X and 4 Untold Stories. They do have really cheap apprentice rolled cigars (some as low as $30 a bundle) that don't taste bad.
The only restriction is 12 anejos a day (two of each size - my favorite is the 55).
But I think for call-in orders, you need to order something over $25 in order to get the good stuff.

I got an e-mail back from them that confirms what Cliff is saying....
"...we have all 6 anejos sizes... 46, 48, 49, 50, 55, 77...from $6.50 to 9 bucks each price range..limit of 2 of each size and with a major purchase of something else in our regular product line of 25 dollars or more..."

That sucks. Although they do have some decent apprentice rolled bundles that are fairly inexpensive (not bad while cutting the grass).

I just got off the phone with Holt's, they have one size of the Anejo so far. They have the Reserva No. 46 for $6.50 each with a limit of 2 per day. If the snow holds off until this evening I'll try and get over to pick up two right after work today.

Is it all worth it.
Yes I have tried Anejos.
Yes I have some in my Humidor.
With all the trouble it takes. By a box of Monte#2s or Cohiba Siglo IVs or a nice box of BBFs and enjoy.
The only and best way to get Anejos is to not try. They will come along.
They are good but no cigar is worth all that work ! Buy a Padron 1926 #9 if you cant get an Anejo.
We are talking about an Anejo. A production cigar that is made every year. This is not a rare limited release. They are around.

Today my local Holt's put out the Anjeo Reserva No. 77 (Sharks) for $8.50 a pop with a 2 per day limit. I also picked up a Hemingway BTL which they have for $13 with a one a day limit. They look like pretty decent prices to me!

I made my daily Anjeo run to Holt's and wasn't disappointed as they put out a new size. It's the Anjeo Reserva No. 55 (Torpedo) for $9.00 a pop with a 2 per day limit. I was surprised they were priced higher then the Sharks. I also picked up the last Hemingway BTL as they don't know if any more will be coming in. Boy they went fast!

I asked the Fuentes down at Sweethearts the same thing, and they told me that the 55 is an overall larger cigar. The number corresponds to the ring gauge on all but the 77 (shark), which is actually a 52 I believe. The 55 is, hands down, my favorite size anejo.

I had noticed that every place I've seen online has the Shark priced higher for some reason and so I was surprised to see the 55 higher at Holt's. What you say does make sense but I'm wondering if the Shark might be made in fewer quantities then the rest of the Anjeo line hence the higher price?
#77 is probably priced higher because of its square to circle shape. Just a guess, I don't really know why.

Every shop that I have been into down here, the 55 has been the more expensive stick.

It's seems like the stock is really dropping off at Holt's on the Anejo's. They just had the #50's for $7.25 each left.
I did pick up a couple of Untold Story for $12 each and they got another box of BTL's in stock.
