I just finished ASSASIN by Ted Bell.

Great fiction in the terrorist genre.

Grabbed me right from the start, and I couldn't put it down.:smt025

My daughter got me started on the "Harry Potter" series. I read them all - quite a bit of fun, actually! :D

Finished the following books this year ... they were all good reads:

Non-fiction
- Flight / My life in Mission Control by Chris Kraft (about the 1960s space program)
- The Perfect Machine by Donald Florence (building the 200" Hale telescope)
- Wired by Bob Woodward (John Belushi biography)
- An American Life by Ronald Reagan (autobiography)
- The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt by Edmund Morris (biography)
- The Emperors of Chocolate by Joel Brenner (look inside the Mars + Hershey companies / families)
- Bringing down the House by Ben Mezrich (Six MIT students who took Las Vegas for millions @ blackjack)
- The Ice Masters by Jennifer Niven (1913 voyage of the ship Karluk + crew ... arctic adventure)

Fiction
- The DaVinci Code by Dan Brown (adventure / mystery)
- Watchers by Dean Koontz (current day sci-fi / drama)
- Moonfall by Jack McDevitt (catastrophe ... like the movie Deep Impact)
- Shadow of the Hegemon by Orson Scott Card (continuation of the Ender series ... start with Ender's Game ... military / sci-fi)
- Airframe by Michael Crichton (investigation / drama)

Tom Clancy books are also great vacation reads if you enjoy political + military stories.

This last month has been the Jeffery Deaver readathon :)

He wrote the bone collector... the ones I've enjoyed the most have all been "Lincoln Ryme" novels. He's the investigator in the bone collector, I've been happy with the read, fast and interesting... good vacation material :)

Either way... enjoy the hell out of the vacation!!!!

Denise Richards is in the December issue of Playboy...:smt118

But seriously, tho, I love the Dirk Pitt series by Clive Cussler. Give some of them a try.
