The family gave me a beautiful SAVOY humidor for Christmas.
A small amount of the cedar is missing from the inside lid, and I'm perfecctly comfortable attempting a repair.

2 questions -
What is a good source for a small amount (2" x 6") od Spanish cedar, ans whar type of glue should I use?

Thanks

Dave

White glue should be ok and if you have a good woodworkers supply near they will have spanish cedar. If you can't find any drop me a PM and I can send you some no problem.

Dude - instead of a repair, just send it back and get another one. You should not have to do this if it's new. If it's used, different story...don't void the warranty by messing with it yourself.

send it back and get a bigger one!!!!! If it's new, wait untill you bang the lid your self and then MUST do your own repair. By the way, have you voted for Den of Iniquity!!!!!!!!!

The shop where it was purchased did not have another one.
I agree that it should be in perfect condition, but the reality is, it needs repaired.

I contacted Savoy (Ashton) customer service, and no response.

It'll be quicker for me just to fix it, and I enjoy that sort of stuff.

Titebond III waterproof glue works very well, or even the regular yellow wood glue. Good luck on the repair, I like tinkering with this stuff too.
