The only trick I have is keeping the drips of coffee off of the keyboard.

Desktop widgets. I'm addicted to them. They have many type to choose from for different things. I mainly run weather, disk space, CPU portal and wifi signal strength. They are also easy on the resources.
You can check them out at Yahoo widgets (http://widgets.yahoo.com/) its a free program.
There are other free and pay programs, but you have to search for them.

Turning your computer so the screen can't be seen from the door of your office won't keep people from knowing you're surfing the internet or playing solitaire if you wear glasses. People can see the reflection on your spectacles.

Ah jason you use mouse gestures. Personally I'm a fan of keyboard shortcuts and run commands.
I use Opera. It has tabs, blocks popups, has a good mail client, and has mouse gestures built right in.
I use AVG Pro. Yes it's 33.30 for two years' worth but it is truly worth it over the free version. No worries about viruses and the customer support in the Czech Republic is excellent.
I configured my router's firewall to do what I need so I don't have to have extra software on my computer.
All the spyware in the world is no worry to me as I have user rights assigned to every user on the computer. My mom's account is so locked down she can't even play certain Internet games.

I know a lot of the keyboard shortcuts, and use them when I'm typing a lot, if I'm just browsing though. . . gotta love the mouse guestures. . .I'm gonna have to check out Opera (I was just waiting to see if it had tabs)
