So a young twenty-something couple walked into the shop today asking for "electronic cigars." I was dumbfounded! WTF? What is the point of an electronic cigar? Don't the e-cigarettes just vaporize concentrated nicotine, so cigarette smokers can can still get their fix in non-smoking places? So it seems to me like they're just giant e-cigarettes.

Anyone else know more about this abomination?

Only heard of the e-cigarettes. Electronic cigars sound like a waste of time, at least the cigs can help people quit smoking.

they were either confused or were hoping the e-cigarette format made it over to the cigar world.

I thought this was going to be a joke.

Lame. They must have been confusing it with one of those e-cigs...nothing beats a real cigar.

I'm serious!

Looks to me like just big e-cigarettes, but these two folk were adamant that they were different and better.

They must have been confused. There is zero point to an "E-Cigar".

EDIT: Holy Crap! You have got to be kidding me! They also have E-Pipes! :squinteye

Zero point but some people want them to "smoke" in the bar or club. Just because they want something in their mouth. So dumb.

To those people I say, "I've got something you can put in your mouth..." :headroll:

Anywho, e-cigars sound ridiculous. What kind of market do they expect to sell to? The number of people addicted to cigar smoking must be tiny compared to addicted cigarettes

Seems like something NEO would smoke in The Matrix.

I'm 22! These folks were apparently confused. The Cigar Room isn't a head shop, we're a tobacco shop.

I used e-cigs for over a year to finally quit my 20+ year cigarette habit. It worked because my body was craving the feeling in the lungs and habitually having that god awful nicotine stick in my mouth, not so much the nicotine. It works wonders to help people kick the habit.

Electronic cigar on the other hand doesn't make sense to me at all. I've been around the e-cig scene for years and almost started my own distribution and store in Hawaii. One thing they could never do properly was to replicate the taste of tobacco. They make everything else awesome such as fruits, coffee, nuts, vanilla, you name it they got it but tobacco was impossible. They have cigar shaped vaporizers that utilize these flavors but it'll never replace real cigars.

How many non-smoking places actually do allow E-cigs? The reason I ask is in the Air Force, you can't "smoke" E-cigs except in designated smoking areas. I guess there still is a concern of some sort of nicotine from the "2nd hand water vapor"...

Just imagine the market for limited edition flavor cartridges...

we have the E-cigars and we even had an e-pipe. We also have all kinds of crazy flavors. There even is one called Cohiba but it doesn't taste like one at all. There is one that tastes like a red bull too. The E-cigars don't sell like the e-cigarettes. They are just too bulky right now. they have to work on their design quite a bit.
