I have also been thinking about purchasing an ice torch lighter. Any suggestions on something that isn't too expensive but is nice looking, compact, and works well. If anyone has anything that they'd like to sell let me know as well. I'll put a post in the trading forum. I saw one in a CIGAR magazine that I liked. It was black with the white text "CIGAR" on the side.

Mark has some reasonably priced ones at www.cigarmony.com
I have a ST Dupont Xtend, two actually, and I love them...whether they are affordable is open to debate though. :hysterica

The best pocket torch I've ever used is the Blazer PB-207. You can get them from nextcigar. They run less than $30, are crazy hot, and will light a couple of boxes of cigars before they run out of fuel.
If you like soft flame lighters, then I highly recommend the Corona Old Boy. It's really a pipe lighter, but it holds up great and has a large fuel tank.

Is there any difference btwn torches and soft flames besides one is easier to use in the wind? I've always used a bic.

That will be my next purchase when I have some extra cash on hand.

I think Heartfelt Industries has the blazer and they are a sponsor here.

I'd never pay that much for a lighter but lucky for me I got it for free

I hate doing this but...I have a Prometheus lighter that is very much like the PB-207, it's called the "Intruder". I can't advertise this on my site per the vendor agreement but 25% off the MSRP on any Prometheus product bro.
Also, I have been using the "Ultimo" Palladium plated and it is VERY much like the St X-tend, only it holds slightly more fuel but I personally like the soft flame of the "Churchill X" when a windproof lighter isn't needed.

Dear lord...that is a nice lighter but out of my price range. Very nice though.
