Stopped by one of the local shops today and picked up an Avo 80th Anniversary cigar. Anyone smoked one of these yet? Thoughts or opinions?

AVO's are traditionally good... a little on the light side....
but good cigars

All reports I've read indicate this is one of the stronger Avo's ... similiar to the LE-5, but still a bit rough.

Definitely post your thoughts on the cigar after you try it gecko!

one thing I like about the limited/special editions of avo is that they all start off fairly mild but my mid range tons of flavor and last third nice strength! a cigar that always develops nicely!

My friend just smoked one and said it was a combination between a Davidoff Special R and a Opus X Annis flavors.

Anymore comments about the 80th?

I just picked up 3 from the B&M. $18 each w/ tax.

I'd like to try one. I'll have to see if the B&M has them

Let me know what they charge if you don't mind Tom. I know I paid WAY too much, but I figure since I go to the B&M probably 3x a year I was due a little gouging.

Smoked mine about 2 weeks ago on the deck at 1 in the morning with some Appleton Estates X/V rum while watching Wedding Crashers. Great cigar, as above started mild and built in strength as I smoked it. Smoked it to a nub. Not sure what I paid for it, but I'll try to get my hands on a few more for special occasion smokes.
