Seems like I'm conflicted between saying "congrats" & "about time". Do we roast him, or give him an atta boy?
Time will tell...

Should I say I don't have wireless....
No one in the family has a laptop and my PC tower & monitor get heavy on the lap.

The only bad thing about wireless broadband is...if you don't set up the WEP and security right, you could end up with horse porn on your hard drive, and no one will believe you when you say you have no idea how it got on your laptop.
The worse part is when they are asking you about those pictures on your computer when you are standing in line at the X-ray machine in the airport.

Touching upon the security issue, there are so many people with open networks. You really need to make it secure.
Gonna be setup with wireless soon!!!

When I configured the notebooks with Dell, I got PC-cillin. I can tell if someone is trying to use my network which is pretty cool. I'm not using WEP though, I have it set up using WPA-PSK. Still new to this... so, is that more secure?
Oh, and as far as moving into the future.... I'm thinking of getting rid of my lesure suits, earth shoes and 8 Track next!

I've also noticed that if my network goes down for some reason, my neighbor has a pretty good signal I can use........
Wireless is great in a sense that it's like being able to run around your house with no clothes on all day!
WEP is like a condom, it can still be cracked and you'll be up shit creek.

WPA is the way to go, its more secure than WEP. With WPA your key is "dynamic" and keeps changing and its much more difficult to crack. Where are with WEP its a single static key.

The wife and I had a little "celebration" once the network did actually work...
Lit the Lava Lamp
Turned on the 8-Track
And popped in Peter Frampton!
