As long as we're talking guns, what do you feed yours?
For target practice I'll use most any ball ammo, primarily Winchester White Box (100rd value pack). Some Sellier & Bellot. I haven't been able to bring myself to shoot Wolf (the ammo, not the critter) even though the price is so attractive. I've been tempted to try Miwall new or factory reloads but haven't bit yet.
For defensive purposes I carry exclusively:
9mm - 124gr. Gold Dot +P
.45 - 200gr. Gold Dot +P (aka "the flying ashtray")
Mods - Is it OK to discuss ammo retailers as well?

I make most of my own, the only factory ammo I buy any more are Hydra-Shoks..

Gold dots in my Home Defense pistol (don't carry as of now). White box 100rd value pack for target practice. S&B is also a good deal. I load my own from the S&B shells but haven't done any since I moved; don't have a place to mount the reloader right now.As for the AR15 I feed it Wolf. Feel free to gag and choke if you must, but I've yet to have a stoppage with it. Out of the couple of S&B boxes I had I had a major stoppage at an outing that I couldn't get out until the rifle had cooled for an entire day. It goes bang every time I pull the trigger. :smt102
I'd rather use the mil-surp stuff, but the wolf was too good of a deal to pass up.

I do not use any +P ammo. It is too hard to reaquire the target for secondary shots or double taps take too long.
For 9mm Winchester SXT
for .40cal federal hydra shock (98% one shot stop percentage)
for .357 Speer STT
for .45 Ball ammo.
For .25 (Yes I have a Betetta pocket pistol as well, never leave homw without it) I use customized ammo that gives it the stopping power of a .380 +p at 10 yards.
Except in my Sub guns that are 9mm, then I just FMJs.

Old Gold Dot ammo or simple ball ammo for qualifications (every other month) and practice and brand new Gold Dot ammo during the annual ammo exchange and inspections of all off duty and on duty handguns

I'm not 100% sure but I believe it is 165 grain that we use for the duty handguns (40 Cal) and various other grains depending on calibers (anything 380 Cal and up)
