Yea, some states are just out of control!
I know that Washington state lowered their tobacco tax. But it's crazy to see how much some states rely on the taxes.

The 75% for Washington is true, but it tops out at $.05 a stick. So the drug store cigar smokers pay the highest rate.

That is why you never want to buy them in this state. Johnny, if you ever get up by Mt. Vernon, head out west on Highway 20 towards Anacortes. At the west end of the high bridge heading over the slough, there is an exit. Right across the street from the exit is an indian smoke shop that looks like a gift shop. They have one of the nicest walk-in humidors I have ever seen and their prices are excellent. Last time I was in there they had a superb AF selection, including Opus-X. Lots of other good selections too: CAO, Padron, LGC, etc.

And Anchorage has another 50% city tax on top of that. I don't buy anything in state.
