I was at a work function and given a choice of cigars. There were two boxes of cigars from the Canary Islands and I think they were called "Palmas de Oro". I passed up on these and chose an El Rey del Mundo. I had never heard of these and had never heard anything about cigars from the Canary Islands (and therefore presumed they weren't a particularly good). But, I'm wondering if I made a mistake. Has anybody had these cigars? Are they any good?

Never tried or heard of. Try searching at http://www.top25cigar.com/reviewdatabase/ for that information. Should be listed there on the left side of the page. Good luck.

I've had some really good cigars from the Canarys. The one I liked the most was the brown label Dunhill 7.5 x 42. There are a few others. I may have taken the Palmas de Oro, just because the other is readily available.
