Thought a thread to discuss the coffees would be nice.

Lately I am craving the brighter, sweeter, fruitier coffees. Pretty excited to try these two.

It makes my mornings so great. Usually the 2 1/2 lb bags last me just over 2 weeks and that is drinking about 1.5 cups a day, roughly.

Hell, I've had this new coffee maker just about 3 weeks and just checked the counter on it...I've had 105 cups so far! I am drinking way too much!

Ha.. you know you are bad when you admit to drinking too much when you mention the coffee consumption... do we need to even bring up the alcohol???

yeah, I'm surprised its' that low, actually - I have 3 or so in the morning, then some more later...

and no, we won't talk alcohol!

I wonder if he has counters on his maker's mark bottles....

tobby4

Exactly... or baileys bottles.. you know if he is drinking that much coffee he has to put liquor in it sometime...

not a counter, but I have found that a bottle of the stuff is good for 3 cigars!

This thread is an excellent idea Tom.
I do have a cupping correction on the Bolivian. The berry/cherry I mentioned seems to be a fluke. I was so surprised by it that I tried it again this morning and this evening. No berry/cherry this time. I do think it's a little one dimensional which is what I meant by "not much else" but again, I do think it's a plain good cup of coffee.

I'm still amazed that Randy's coffee maker has a cup counter. It's a good thing that they don't make humidors with that feature.

This coffee has a delicate, sweet aroma and rich complex flavor of light citrusy fruit and a smidge of chocolate. Medium body, high acidity and a quick, clean finish. This will be a good after dinner coffee.

Having this right now. With Brian's descriptions I am finally able to pull flavors out of coffee. It was the same path with cigars. This is a very nice cup

The Bolivian montana is very one dimensional but is still a very good cup of coffee. It's my wifes favorite. Im not sure if that's the bean but similar regions produce similar coffee. I have made my trip through Africa. It's time for S. America.

I would argree, the Bolivia Mejilones is a good cup but one-dimensional
