I don't get to smoke a pipe as often as I'd like too as most of the time it's still just easier to take cigars and not have the fuss. Anyways I started my own chart on what I've smoked and how I rate it just so I don't forget.
Just thought I'd share and see if my taste are somewhat in line with others and maybe you have a better way of keeping track that I might use.
Let me know your thoughts and what else I should add to a charting point.

I find i haven't had much time to finish a full pipe. Would it be better to half pack the pipe if i can get the draw right or can i leave the unfinished tobacco in the pipe for later say tomorrow. This whole working opposite shifts and different days off with my fiancee in order to not have to deal with childcare is killing me. She doesn't find it that bad(because she works part time at night.) My days start at 4am and end at 11pm between all my obligations. Sorry for micro rant in middle there. Esoterica Penzance and Stonehaven being my top two, so far McClelland blends are mainly all right behind them. I do enjoy others as well but there is just something about the McClellands that really works for me so far. I hate getting tongue bite and so far all the tobacco I've smoked from them has not had this effect and they've all tasted very, very good. I am the first to admit I don't have the palate most of you probably do so I don't pick up much difference say between two English blends like FM's On The Town and Blue Mountain.
My question is this...what is your major brand you enjoy and how do you decipher the differences in blends of say English or Virginia's. This may be a stupid question but I just want to try and understand what hints I should be looking for when smoking two different blends that are almost the same. :scratchhe Does that make sense? :sarcastic.
