    Default Garden 2011

Half of the garden is in as of today. Still getting some slow starters (from seed indoors) acclimated to full sun and then they'll get planted.

As usual I'm very heavy on hot peppers with 12 different varieties, as well as 8 different varieties of tomato, green, red, yellow, golden and chocolate bell peppers, lettuce, crooked neck squash, zucchini and corn.

Nothing better than fresh home grown produce.

Anyone else have one out yet?

Planted some tomatoes in buckets on the deck over the weekend. That's it for this year. Maybe next year I'll get some wind in my sails and build a raised bed to plant in, but this year didn't happen.

People cry about how bad tobacco is, but do they realize how bad water is? Water can be chemically synthesized by burning rocket fuel. Water is the primary ingredient in herbicides and pesticides. Water is the leading cause of drowning. 100% of serial killers, rapists, and drug dealers have admitted to drinking water. And probably most alarming...100% of people exposed to water will die! By comparison tobacco is a pussy.

    Planted mine March 5th
    From left to right:
    1 row of carrots,
    4 rows of green beens
    4 rows of soy beans
1 back row of lima beans.
    1 side row of cucumbers
    March 15th:

    April 3rd:

    April 24th:

I've picked about 5gallons of green beans over the last few weeks. And looked at the carrots and they are doing well. The heat is starting to get to the garden. I'm watering every day, but it hasn't rained here in almost two months...

    Looking good TheBayratt!

We have almost biblical amounts of rain here for the last 2 months. I had to wait, wait, and then wait some more for my ground to be dry enough to till.
