    Default New El Tiante blends

Anybody got their hands on any of the new El Tiantes? From what I can gather, its an all new blend, from the Garcias and the My Father factory.
Can't seem to find too much info on the new blend, and figured some of you New Englanders may have stumbled across some pr-release sticks.

Dan Tiant who is CEO and Founder of Tiant Cigar Group is a good friend of mine. There headquarters is located in Estero, FL. You can find Tiant Cigar Group on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Tiant...93398104041518 . I really enjoy both the El Tiante Habano Rosado and Habano Oscuro in the toro vitola . Dan is the son of baseball superstar Luis Tiant. This is a great family with great cigars. Ask your local tobacconist if they carry the line. You will be in for a treat.

Was not a fan of the OR El Tiantes of a few years back. But will give the new blend a chance.

Hi Guys. I'm the Co-Owner & President of Tiant Cigar Group. As referenced above, we have completely re-vamped the blends. The old cigars are no more and we've worked very closely with the Garcia family (DPG & Jaime) on our new blends, which are in stores now. Please go to the Tiant Cigar Group Facebook page and "like us". There are posts listing all of the new retailers now carrying El Tiante's. If you want a good deal, come to our event on 11/18 @ CB Perkins in Canton, MA. From 2-7 pm, we will do buy 3 cigars, get 1 free or buy a box, get 7 free.

I've had a couple and they are pretty good. I will be at the event as CB Perkins is my local B&M. Prahbahka is a great guy with quite the knowledge of cigars and a strong selection to boot.

Thanks Andy. Look forward to seeing you at CB next Friday! It is a great store and Prabakhar is a great guy. I actually bought my first humidor from him about 16 years ago.

The Oscuro Toro is awesome. One of the best cigars I have smoked period. Can't believe there is not more chatter about this. I'd be interested to know if there is much difference in the filler blend on the two lines or if it is just a different wrapper.

I tried a couple of each and liked them, I think it was a few mopnths ago. Don't remember too many specifics, but I remember they performed well and that I enjoyed them. I will buy more once I see them again.

Had the oscuro last night, pretty good as well. The profile(cocoa and a floral sweetness) reminded me of the Fed 90th Reserva, worth trying if you loved those.

I've had the new blends, and they are very nice smokes. It really is a great improvement from their previous stuff.

Any way to tell the OR from the new ones? I just picked some up from Podman... the Oscuro and Rosado wrappers are nearly identical? As in one is only slighty redder and a shade lighter than the other. What's up with that?

I think the bands are completely different from the original release a few years back.

BTW, the Rosado is fantastic. I will fully admit that I was expecting some gimmicky cigar (being a Sox fan and a cigar smoker means blindly purchasing a cigar made by a legend), but it is certainly not.

I lit up the Tiante's 6 months back and really had my palate burned out by them! POWERFUL!

But I just lit up the oscuro from the new blend and was really pleased! Great work on the new blends Mike!
