Trying to break my addiction to SC2 custom games myself. Not working out too well. lol

Never got into SC2. I played SC1 since the day it was released until about 2 years ago. Diablo and Diablo 2 were great as well. Now I'm all PS3.
The body is but a vessel for the soul, a puppet which bends to the soul's tyranny. And lo, the body is not eternal, for it must feed on the flesh of others, lest it return to the dust whence it came. Therefore must the soul deceive, despise and murder men.
Learning curve for playing people online is super steep but messing around in games with people is always fun. SC2 is far easier than SC1 in many ways. Much more user friendly for people who aren't diehard RTS players
I used to play marine arena a bunch in sc1, only tried it once in SC2...maybe need to give it another try

I might rock the boat here, but i never saw the allure of Starcraft. I played Total Annihilation back in the SC days. There were 200+ units in TA compared to SCs what, 15?
I know unit numbers don’t really account for much, but I liked the options TA gave me. Each unit had a different pro and con to them; then they jumped up a tier and got bigger and better.
I played TA also. I loved the campaign mode and single player, but the multiplayer was just not as dynamic and fun for me. SC 1&2 are much better balanced and more diverse in game play than just a race for those huge units and cannons that all my TA multiplayer games turned into. It is just my opinion, but I have played all the Age of Empires games/expansions, all versions of Command and Conquer, TA, Supreme Commander, all the Dune games, all the warcrafts, and StarCraft has provided the most competitive and fun multiplayer for me...and yes I like RTS games a little...
