    Default Room 101 Nambuki Connecticut

Anyone else have a bad experience with these? I've smoked 2 and they've both left a horrible taste in my mouth while I was smoking it, had a very weak ash and had to relight at least half a dozen times. They are the only 2 cigars in my humidor that when I took them out to smoke em they were soft like sponges. Was wondering if anyone else had these problems?

Sounds like classic symptoms of an over humidification problem. How long did you have these particular cigars in your humidor? Did you buy them from a B & M or online? I ask because it's odd that it was just these two cigars that were wet, suggesting that the problem could be with the vendor. Have you tried 'dry boxing' before smoking?

I have smoked a few of the "Papi Chulos", and the first one was a little harsh, but not bad. The next one had a few months in the humidor and it was excellent. I did dry box it for several hours before smoking.

'Wet' cigars will taste like crap, plug and not stay lit, even if it is a world class, excellent cigar. I hope I have been some help..........

I agree with Tim...Sounds like these may have been overhumidified by the vendor, and never had the chance to level out. (Especially since you said these were the only two that were spongy)

I have smoked a few of these, and although they weren't my favs, the construction was top notch.

I have a box of Namakubi Roxxo that I have smoked a few out of without problem. There is also a Connecticut blend but I have only had then at the local B&M and it was ok as well. All Room 101 cigars are made by Camacho who usually puts out quality construction.
I tend to lean toward the remarks of the previous BOTL but you could have just ended up with a dud. Two duds seems less likely though.

I got them from a local B&M and I store all my cigars in a winador and in boxes. The other cigars I had in the box with them are fine, it's was just those 2 sticks.

Might just not be your flavor profile, may just not blend well with you. I've had a stick or two that everybody else just loves, but don't sit well with me, no matter when or how many I smoke.

It does sound like over humidification, but it may very well not be as well. Could have been a couple of duds, or they just aren't for you.
Ok, hand over the cigars and nobody gets hurt...

I went for the Roxxo...4x48... can't argue with the Papi. The OSOK is one you should try as well.

If the Papi Chulo is the small one with the red and black band, I enjoy those very much. Like someone stated above maybe the other ones just aren't in my taste bracket.

Another bad experience with Room 101. Had a LTD Conjura and it was the same experience as the Nambuki. Very loose draw and would not stay lit. Had to relight several times and I got fed up and just set it down. Disappointed, especially when I like the majority of stuff Camacho makes.

Was it from the same store? I've smoked plenty of room 101's and although the flavor profile isn't exactly in my wheelhouse, they always performed well.

Ya but it's been sitting in my humidor for months. The rest of my smokes burn fine.
