Default What are you using for an ETC?

Is anyone using an electronic temperature control for their wineador? The one that Justin has on his thread is pretty expensive, so I was just wondering if anyone was using a different one, and how well it worked. Also, what is everyone using for timers for their fans?

I know a few people who use the Johnson-a419, though not for regulating a wineador. But similar in price to the Ranco from the thread you're talking about. Both good, durable units though and I honestly don't think you're going to find anything that's cheaper than either one of those that'll be very reliable. Check Ebay, sometimes you can get some deals on 'em there.

People cry about how bad tobacco is, but do they realize how bad water is? Water can be chemically synthesized by burning rocket fuel. Water is the primary ingredient in herbicides and pesticides. Water is the leading cause of drowning. 100% of serial killers, rapists, and drug dealers have admitted to drinking water. And probably most alarming...100% of people exposed to water will die! By comparison tobacco is a pussy.

Thanks Dan. I did some research yesterday, and I think I'm going to just go with that. You're right, for the price and reliability, I don't think there is a better one.

I use a Johnson Controls A419 on my wineador and it works well.

It's the Ranco 111000 ETC. Add like $5 for am extension cord and circle clamps and you're good to go for less than $60.

Mine has worked for over 2 years niw without a hiccup.
