My local b&m is looking for anybody who knows where they can get the soft flame butane zippo inserts. Their current vendors don't carry them. Does anybody have a lead?

Tell them to check with vector. They make a thunderbird version of a butane insert for zippo. The vector info should be in the IPCPR book.

Thanks Fia. I passed on the info this morning to them.
My pipe lighter crapped out and I'm hoping they get some of these in before Father's day, cuz I can ask my bride for one. I see them online, now that I know what they are called, but I'd like to get my B&M to carry them.

Not to threadjack, but if anyone knows where I can get one of these (or any butane insert) for a slim-zippo, please let me know. I'll dig deep for something in trade if you're holding on to one!

you can order direct. they have 3 different versions. regular soft flame. soft flame for pipe. and torch. lifetime guarantee.
I have a zippo slim- I need an insert for it that uses butane instead of lighter fluid. I would prefer the soft flame but would take any butane I could find.
The slim is a hand me down that my mother got my dad when they were married in the 70s. We share initials so the engraving even works for me. However, I do not want to light cigars with lighter fluid.

It's a hard flame butane Zippo, that you could relocate the insert to your vintage lighter.

I don't think it's actually butane, just an error in the title :(

Was at Walmart today and they had 2 racks of them...$9 each. I just bought 5 Ronsons instead at $2.97 each.
