Default 2012 Botl DE review X2

Two of the prereleases showed up Monday at the doorstep. After golf WB and I lit them up in the Fuego for a little review. Here's what we found:

    2012 botl
    Prelight: Rich tobacco and raisin.
1st inch power and leather on the back half of the tongue.
Aroma is excellent. Ass loads of smoke. *
JB: *tons and tons of strength. Assault on the roof of my mouth and back of tounge.
Wb: Full body but flavor is picking up.
    JB: effortless draw*
    Wb: *perfect draw as well.
JB 2inch *smokey/chary. sweetness that doesn't want to come out.
Wb: slight hint of cedar *w a smoky char.
JB: in the ashtray aroma is intoxicating w sweetness in the air.
Wb: note of black rich coffee.
Wb: almost like the notes out of a Mexican wrapper. "twangy" chary very complex.
    Final 3rd
Couple of relights for both of us.
Strength has picked up again to full. Leather, lots of charred tobacco and a sweetness that is hidden by the strength. Can feel it in both our stomachs now as well.
    Final thoughts:
This cigar is complex but not ready to shine just yet. Room aroma is fantastic. Strength Right off the start is full and it will coat your mouth with numbing power for a inch or so. Then in the second Slight spice, a hidden twang and lots of charred flavor with slight coffee bitterness. It smokes effortlessly and as always with LP produces a shit ton (metric ;) * ) of smoke. I think the sweet spot of this cigar is in the middle where it mellowed to med and let some very faint sweetness come out as well as a bitter cherry. Wb liked how the cigar evolved and also was complex. We both thought that even though this cigar was rested 9 months now. It will be much better in one more years time. For me it is just really strong and wouldn't allow all the flavors to come out and play. Also if I were buying a box I would smoke these late in the day with a strong stout, strong bourbon(Stagg, Pappy) or a nice scotch. Eat a full meal as well (after dinner cigar) I think these have aging potential of 5 years due to the strength(even for a nc lancero) but only time will tell.
    Regards,
    Jfire
Pics are giving me problems I'll try to get them up in the morning.
Also this was my first cigar in over 2 weeks. My palate was fresh but still coming off a terrible cold.
    Current shit list.

    Thanks for the review!

Doesn't sound like it's in my wheelhouse though.

Like the review style, but what about that amazing 50 yard pitch out I had on 9?

think you guys hit it well. definitely smoothed out in the middle. i did have a couple of relights towards the end. and aging potential is definitely there. but for those that like em full, smoke away!

I also had one this afternoon and while I am not as eloquent in reviewing as JFire and WB, I will say this, I might have to change my name just so I can buy more than one box.
I don't care whose birthday it is; except Bob's. Happy now Brent?.

Thanks for the ageing tip...I'm gonna set mine down until the end of Summer - at a minimum.
