Which RH beads should I buy for a winedor?

I am working on a winedor project and was curious what %rh beads work the best is it the 65% or the 70% I know I need 2 lbs but stuck between the 2 rh's? Any reasons on what makes one better than the other? I plan on keeping it at 65 degrees!

Go with kitty litter. I have it in mine and the humidity is rock solid at 68%.

Out of everything I have tried, 65% HCM beads are all I can recommend to anyone.

Personally, I prefer 65%, but you should go with what you feel comfortable with. Some guys prefer 70%. Don't let someone else's preference deter you from a rh level you like.

Same. I tried both and for me 65% smokes better. 70% was just to wet. I keep mine at 68-70 deg year round.

Being in FL you may get a lil surprise and find you need something lower than 65% considering the already humid climate(or even getting 65 beads and not needing to prep them just throw them straight in the wineador). Get a feel for the RH in your house and planned placement for your Wineador and see where you stand.

But I think just about all of us will say get 65% on average.. and KL is nice but I found it not so noob friendly.

In Florida, I would definitely go with at least 65%. I'm in Baltimore and it's been so humid this year I've been thinking about some 60% beads just to lower the humidity in my aristocrat.

For my Money, in a humid climate, 65 or even 60%.

You're going to need some moisture absorbtion to bring it down.

I live in SoCal, and use the 65%.

Thanks everyone for the info I was leaning towards the 65% beads, currently I keep my house at about 74 degrees inside and the humidity inside has been 50-65% but up to 65-92% humidity outside the house when I have checked so the AC does a good job keeping the high humidity down. Was just curious because of all the stuff you hear about the 70/70 being ideal I am hoping for somewhere between 65/65 to 68/68.

I think you'll find darn near every member here has theirs at either 65% or 68%, with only a couple outside of those numbers. If you get around those numbers, you should be good to go. I go with 65% because if there is any fluctuation, it isn't going to damage my cigars. I can go 5% either direction, and still be relatively ok until it can be fixed and brought back to where it should be. If you fluctuate down with 60%, you run into problems, and if you fluctuate up from 70% you run into problems. Not to mention, I like how my sticks smoke at 65%. I live in a non-humid climate though, so take what I say with a grain of salt.
