    Default Little Rock or Memphis?

I finished my business earlier than expected, so I have time to "burn.". Anybody have a suggestion along this route to grab a smoke and lounge for an hour or two?

I'm going to be doing this again Friday this week and next, so if I don't get to it today there will be more chances.

Lunch suggestions are welcomed as well.

If you like the rough and tumble crowd.. the guy that owns "Memphis Tattoo" on Summer Avenue keeps a nice stock of cigars in a small separate smoke shop in the back.. eclectic crowd.. everyone from bikers to emo kids hanging around getting inked up and smoking cigars..

If you just want to find a decent B&M shop with a good selection.. there is a nice shop inside the Wolfchase Mall in Memphis called "The Tinderbox".. I grew up across the street from the guy that owns the place.. his daughter is there running the place most of the time these days.. go in and ask for Lynn.. always helpful.. always friendly..

My favorite place to just hang around and burn a cigar in memphis (although I havent been there in a couple of years since moving away from there) is Tobacco Corner on South Mendenhall Road (near the intersection of Mendenhall and Poplar).. very good selection.. nice little newspaper/magazine shop next door to find something decent to read, etc..

The Tinderbox in Wolfchase is kinda okay now. They have one out in Collierville now, that has a huge walk in and a killer selection. There's also Madison Tobacco in midtown as well.

Hopefully they still allow smoking...but I recommend The Silly Goose in downtown Memphis. Great scotch selection too. They're around the corner from The Flying Saucer....sucks that they don't allow smoking any longer.

Not too sure about Silly Goose, but I know TJ mulligans allows it, as well as The Fox and Hound pubs.

There's a cigar lounge across the street from the Peabody hotel in Memphis. I don't recall the name but they had a so so selection imo. There's also a cigar lounge in downtown Little Rock named Maduro`s. It's a nice lounge but the walk-in is small and prices are high due to 68% tobacco tax in Arkansas.

Thanks again guys, Maduros wasn't open while I was in town, but I did swing by the Tinder Box. They had a great selection for a small mall store. Picked up some Four Kicks and V lances.

I'll try Tobacco Corner next week. Maybe I will have time to actually smoke.

Whichever one downtown that has the Beale Street cigar is a good place to hang out. The other tinderbox (not the mall) has a great selection and prices and comfy chairs but no atmosphere.

The shop across from the Peabody actually moved, I think this week, over closer to Beale and the FedEx forum. It is called Havana Mix and they have improved to a nice selection including tats. My wife and I dropped by the old location before Grizzlies games once the saucer went smoke free.

The tinderbox in Collierville on Houston Levee is nice. And there are no parking issues. It's in a little strip mall in a nice area. Several restaurants in the area that probably allow patio smoking if the weather is as nice as it was today.

I went in the mall shop a couple weeks ago on my way through. They had T-52s and dark rituals in. They have a little bargain bin that I've found hidden gems like old AVO LE's at 1/2 price.

I'm a Memphis native but marriage took me 100 miles to the east.
