Default Padron 1926 no 9 natural vs maduro

    Hey guys,

A while back I smoke a 1926 no 9 Maduro to celebrate my sons birth and it was great. My question is which do you prefer and why? I have not had the natural and am curious on how different it is as compared to the Maduro.

Also, what is your favorite 1926 Padron?

I think the natural is the best showing of Padrons capabilities. While the maduro is certainly enjoyable and loads your palate with complex notes, it can sometimes be overpowering. I like the fact that the natural is almost unparalleled in balance. It is probably the most perfectly balanced NC there is. The #9 has to be the best!!

It's much easier to enjoy the natural because of that balance, the Maduro is just stronger and more robust

I enjoy the Maduro for the bold flavors. This opinion is biased though as i have never smoked any Padron Anni in the natural line. Sure do love the maddy though :D

After having the Maduro I couldn't go back to a natural. It lacks so much flavor compared to the Maduro. Just my very personal opinion!

I have only had the Mauro but because they're so expensive, I just can't see myself trying the natural. These are like 4 times-a-year smokes for me... But yes the #9, can't beat it.

I used to think that too...and then I started smoking a few of the #1 maduros. Now I like the #1 even better!

I found the Maduro more complex than the one natural I smoked. Natural Padron's seem to trend toward a more muted experience in flavor profile than the Maduro but that's just my palate. Even some of the highly praised 1964 naturals almost have a "soapy" taste to them on occasion.
