Something for the porch or patio.

My wife really loves wall decals... you can find them on Etsy for pretty cheap and I'm sure you'll be able to find someone that can do a custom job. http://www.etsy.com/search?q=wall%20...ZZ&min=0&max=0

A nice print/artwork for the wall.

    IKEA giftcards.

This is really what I like to do. BB&B is awsome for first time home owners for sure. As far as something engraved you can look online for custom stepping stones. If they have a flower garden or walk way, it's nice to have something there that also has a special meaning to it.

Oh man, so many options. Thanks guys!
I'm thinking one personalized something or other, and then a couple gift cards.

Wish I could post a budget for this, but I still don't know. Every time I come up with a number, I have the internal debate of "Well, she IS your sister. Spend more." vs "You're poor, don't spend lots of money." lol

In unrelated news, I may have stuff in the FS section soon that people may like.

Art work. Even if they already have the walls covered, you can never have neough art work.

I second this. No one thinks of it anymore. Good art, in whatever medium, is essential to a good life.

Buy them a bottle of champagne for when they close, and a 12 pack of beer for the day they move.

Well, I wanted a screened porch, beer fridge, porch recliner and a urinal built into my porch wall. I never got the urinal but I did cut a hole for my pecker in the screen. True Story....

wall decor is a good idea as well, as it always seems like it takes forever to cover new walls...can be difficult though, have to know their taste. that said, even a decent piece can go well in a powder room for guests (ie a print or giclee from somewhere they have visited works well)

a stinky standing ashtray would be good too.

...similar to the true green service... housekeeping for a couple of months would be handy, especially once they've got their stuff out of boxes.
