Default La Aroma de Cuba Edicion Especial

I was really psyched to try this new Pepin cigar. I had heard good things about them and was gifted a few from Jeff as they did not light his board.

A beautiful cigar with a deep milk choclate wrapper. Upon lighting I was not hit with the typical dense wham of pepper as most Pepin sticks. Instead, the stick burst with flavor without overpowering my sense. The draw was smooth and firm with loads of smoke. Medium body, woody with a slight sweet after taste.

The flavors and sweetness stayed throughout the cigar. Nubbed it. This was an excellent smoke. I have smoked a half a dozen of these as i could not believe they were as good as I remembered each time. I just bought the 15 pack special from Holts and I am loving each size as much as the next.

Do your self a favor and pick up a few of these sticks. I think you will enjoy them immensely.

I'll have to try it again, it's the one with the lighter yellowish band right? If so, I had one at the RTDA and it was not good at all, couldn't even finish it. But then again, those cigars are really not cared for well during the show.

I think I picked a few of those up when you were out here. I'll have to light one up.

Just a heads up that a lot of the older versions are still floating around out there. Make sure the band has Edicion Especial on it.

I like the original Aroma de Cuba but it does not hold a candle to these.

I had posted a pic or something a while ago, not sure if I still have the pictures, if so I'll up them, it was a larger ring gauge one, but I enjoyed it. Sat pool side and smoke it slow. Flaky ash, odd burn, but good smoke.

Don't get me wrong folks, it is a good cigar. However, as a Pepin whore it did not make me feel special down there...

It is all good. Everyone has his or her own likes or dislikes.

Like I said, this is not your standard fist in your teeth Pepin but rather a subtle smoother smoke. I tried it because it was a Pepin. I bought more because it is a great morning or mid day cigar.

I know people that just do not like the taste of a PSD4 and others that cant keep enough in their humi. Taste is personal. Thats why I really like seeing all these reviews. After a while you learn who has a similar taste profile.
