What's your favorite marca based on flavor profile alone?

Here's what I mean... I lit up a RyJ short churchill tonight and was reminded why this is my favorite marca, even though NONE of the individual cigars in the brand are my favorites by any stretch. The taste profile is unique and interesting to me, though. It is a great change of pace and is like nothing else I smoke regularly.

The cigars are not always very consistent -- in fact, the one I had tonight had a wonky burn that took a lot of tending. And they don't always have a lot going on taste-wise in the individual cigars that really builds on the brand's basic profile. But if I could have Habanos make me any vitola with the very best rollers for my personal cigar, I'd start with a Romeo y Julieta flavor profile and work from there.

What about you? What's your favorite brand flavor profile?

6 months to a year ago I would've said Partagas.

Today, it's H Upmann. Love the #2, and the Mag 46 and SW put it over the top for me. Upmann profile just hits the sweet spot for my palate.

Partagas would be #2, and Monte and Cohiba would be battling it out for #3.

That is too tough of decision for me. I have a top 3 in Partagas, Boli and Cohiba. I do not know what I would do if I was forced to pick only one.

Partagas probably for me. Don't like RA. Monte is ok. Cohiba if it's good it's great but many have been just ok for me.

That is a hard one. As most of us CC guys know, aged is better, so if you are asking over all with/without age my CURRENT favorite is definitely Vegas Robaina. I have some great love for H Upmanns Corona Major, Mag 46 and 50, but right now that stuff coming sealed in VR boxes is like my crack-fix.

VR is definitely a marca turning out great cigars right now. The box of Famosos I got last year is my favorite Cuban robusto(-ish) so far!

Tough call

Even though I've enjoyed more Bolivars over the years. I'm gonna have to say it's Vegas Robaina. There's not a VR in the line up that I don't care for. Can't say that about the other marca's.

this is like basket weaving... some ins and outs depending upon vitola...

I like Boli, Cohiba, and Monte, but the Sir Winston is a favorite, the Party P2 is one of my favorite #2s.

VR makes very nice cigars indeed, but they tend to be significantly too floral for me. About time to give them another shot, though.

I believe the question was for a size of cc, that stood out for you. I'm patial to DC's or Toro's with Cohiba and Trini's on top...Hmm followed by Partagas, monti's and Boli's. I'm fairly still new to cc's with only a year or two on most so I'm sure this could change down the road with age on what I have.
