So here's the scoop, my b-day is in about 3 weeks on the 12th and I've been given the go ahead to get a box of sticks for myself. I've had a couple lanceros in the last few months and really liked them in contrast to other vitolas. As I have plenty robustos, toros, etc. I'm going to buy some lanceros and am not sure what to get. Not looking to break the bank so probably $150 or so max. Saw StocktonJohns thread on the JdN lance and already have that on the radar, any other recommendations would be great so I have more options. My preferred flavor profile is Full body, creamy/sweet side of things (maduro), with a decent spice. Not a big fan of one dimensional smokes. Unfortunately I'm terrible about writing stuff down and can't even remember what the couple lanceros I've had were. :scratchhe

I really enjoy the Cain F lances. Romacraft Cromagnon atlatl is one I would like to find again. Olivia V lances I hear from the brothers are great for the price also.

I agree with Agentskull on the Cain F Lanceros. I'm also a big fan of the JDN Cabinetta Serie 13 Lanceros. Excellent cigars that should be right around your price range (maybe about $160 or so for a box).

The Illusione Holy Lance Maduro! There a little more pricey (found a box of 25 for $180), but the couple I've had have been delicious!

Another vote for the Cain F. You can get a box of 10 for $60...you're not going to find a better value than that. They are very tasty, but I found them to be pretty stout. They are supposedly around 82% ligero, which accounts for both the flavor and the strength. Anyway, I'd get a box of those then spend the other $90 or so on something else you've been wanting to try.

I wouldn't recommend buying a box of cigars that you've never had before unless your sure about them. I recommend buying a few fivers.

For ncs some of my thoughts would be, the new cyb lance is supposed to be good and will be released soon, Don Carlos lance if you can find it at msrp, l40 if you can find it, quesada espana lance if you can find it, maybe one or two casa fuente lances, daruma mutane, and maybe try it some lonsdales or coronas.

I would get 2 Room 101 Daruma Mutante, 2 Original Blend El Triunfador, 2 Don Pepin Blue Label, 2 Oliva Serie V, 2 Cain F, 2 Tatuaje Especialles, an Opus X Lost City and call it a day.
