I was filling out a data sheet for our Plugged Review Panel and got to thinking. Why is it that year after year there are always cigars that I always love but never buy or smoke them????? Mine off the top of my head are:
Padron Principe: A cigar I've loved ever since joining here and becoming more serious as a cigar smoker. I bought a box back in 2008. Smoked said box in almost a couple months which is a record for me. But just never buy the dang things..........
Tatuaje Havana VI Red label: A love hate with this Marca. Sizes like the Nobles, Hermosas and Angeles I love BUT only with age. (Unless they're right off the rolling table they're damn yumy). But with 6 months down they are mean, young and just plain vulgar..... 2-3 years later they are always plain delicious. I age most of my cigars anyways, why not these????? I just don't have a answer.
Montecristo #4: Always a Pumkin BEFORE midnight but after the clock stikes 4 years even the ugly duckling tends to be wearing the glass slipper. I'm smoking a May 2009 right now and nubbing it. Once again I always say I'll buy a box but something always catches my fancy before them. I can't explain this it just happens.
Any one else have any of these mystery cigars alluding them at every corner? I'm not talking Liga, Opus or Padron Annys. Those would be a price issue for many here. More of that ugly duckling that dances the night away with ya and you always leave her hanging......

Padron Family Reserves.
Tatuaje TAAs
Esplendido.

I don't know if this meets the criteria, but those are some of them.

Agreed on padron flex...never in more than 1-2 singles and that is maybe once a year. But love them...one of the best NCs I have had was a padron anny at chi herf...have never hunted after that...no good reasons at all.

Tatuaje Havana Cazadores is mine. Love the cigar, especially the size, but for some reason I am either trying to age a box or smoke/bomb a box rather quickly once open. I think it is also priced high enough that I don't consider it one I would buy multiple boxes of.

Padron X000 line and the Londres. They're affordable and delicious but I never buy them. I always wonder why I smoke anything but these when I light one up.
Curivari Gloria De Leon. I'm wowed by it every 6 months but I should be having one every week.
Headley Grange. I couldn't get enough of them when they were hard to come by. Now I haven't bought one since they became available everywhere.

Hemi Short Stories and Signatures. I've been sitting on the last ones I have because they're so fabulous.
Padron x000s.
Tat Hav VI robustos.
Elogio Habanos. Bought a box, and smoked one. Letting them rest, plus I don't want to run out! I'm a wuss...

Padron thousand series are up there for me too. Same with quite a few regular production Oliva products - especially the Serie V. Every time I smoke one, I wonder why I don't smoke them more often.

I gotta agree with javaman. Both Padron X000 and the Serie V are delicious and with the price point I wonder why I bother buying anything else. Yet I never seem to pick up more than a couple sticks at a time and I rarely smoke them in comparison to other cigars in my rotation

padron 2000 maduros...

I love them...

but maybe buy and smoke 3 or 4 a year tops...

Ive been telling myself for a year that I need to make a box purchase.. but I never do.. there is always something else out there I want more (that ends up not being any better... and sometimes ends up being worse.. than the paddy 2000)...

I literally talked myself out of a box of padron 2000 maduros just this week... went so far as to log into the famous website, look at the price, add it to my cart, etc...

but then backed out at the last minute...

CAO Brazilian Gol, this one is awesome with some age. It's the main cigar idk why I don't have more of.

There are a few CC's that I like a lot and are on my list to buy but just haven't got around to it yet.
