So ive seen at lest 5 times today people asking around on what are some good solid, cheaper sticks. I too honestly have the same problem, I buy $9-$15 on average and they are fabulous but I was wondering what the other brothers would classify as good $8 under sticks would be. Ive been spending way too much money on cigars and need to scale back.

Thanks, Fellow BOTL

My favorite budget stick is the Diesel Unholy Cocktail. The Manowar Puro Authenticos are also tasty. Padron Maduro 2000 are great.

Could you go on a bit more, a lot of the stuff people mention, my local B&M doesn't have. Its in a "higher class" part of town so they have pretty expensive stuff. but they do have things like corrillo, kristoff, headly grange, alec Bradley, four kicks, fuente (Arturo), partagas, AVO, montecristo, Emilio. Anyways any of them sound good.

Lately I've enjoyed quite a few Oliva sticks..serie V and G Maduro. They are priced pretty dang reasonable, and are tasty.

Anything EPC, minus the yearly LEs, is always under the $8 mark. You can still find the 2010 short runs for less than eight.

No budget stick is going to be as good as a premium, but the best budget sticks hit the highlights of your favorites. What are your favorites right now?

You may think I'm crazy, but I got a box of Gurkha Wicked Indies last year and kept them in the humidor taking them out for when I didn't have time to appreciate the smoke, but they are absolutely amazing now.

Cigarbid can break your bank, but can also make it more affordable when being wise in your practices.

With the right vendor, there are a lot of budget friendly cc's that also wont break the bank. Two I've gotten this year are the por laranaga panatellas and the partas millefleurs, both of which will run about 90$ or less for 25. the millefleurs from partagas and ryj also sometimes come in boxes of 10 for around 40. $4 a stick for a good enough cc isn't half bad.

Try cigarking (one of the site sponsors). I think if you sign up, they give you 10% off your first purchase. Usually, most budget friendly cigars are around the same price per box on any site, and when you add the 10% off, it makes for a sweet deal.

Now that's a giant load of horseshit if I ever smelled one. First of all, just because a cigar is labeled premium doesn't automatically make it better than anything else, as you are implying. Second of all, to be nitpicky, every cigar is a budget cigar-just for different budgets.

To get to the original question-I like ATL's suggestions, with EPC cigars. I reach for an EPC Short Run a great majority of the time I want a cigar. Curivari also makes a great sub $8 stick. Illusione makes some nice stuff that I think is under that price range, too.

I gotta agree with traveling j. I've smoked some awesome $3 sticks and some crappy $20 ones. Dont get me wrong there are some cigars that are worth $20 but not all of them. Likewise I ahve had some $3 cigars I wouldve thought they'd cost $20. The ladder of the two tend to sell out quick.

If we are talking real world box prices that anyone with half a brain and some time can get ( for $8 or less)

  • Tatuaje: Noella, Noella Reserva, Regios, Especialles
  • EPC: Elencos if you can find them, Predilectos
  • Surrogates: Tramp Stamp, Bone Crusher
  • My Father: Le Bijou (cg and pr), Casa house sticks, Fed house sticks

That's enough for now.

and I agree with Justin, all cigars are budget sticks, it just depends on your budget (unless you have a jumpidor and then you don't have any non fancy sticks.)
