BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Start was a little shaky. Pretty sure I wasn't supposed to catch the outside of the pipe on fire.

the plate helps to gather the tobacco for loading, and also gives a platform for drying, if deemed necessary. also getting a lapful of shake or a mess o the carpet might bring back old memories for some. o)
and don't worry about the rim! there is a reason you don't learn to drive in a porsche, right?
So here is what I learned. First, I liked it, so there will be more. The first bowl went pretty good, except for catching the pipe on fire that is. Second bowl I started having issues and I thought it was because I packed it too tight. I had real draw problems, so after fighting with it I tried another but still had the same issue. Turned out that I did not break up the tobacco enough and a big chunk was blocking the stem. I cleared that and fished what I had dried out. Really enjoyed it. My wife liked the smell much better than that of cigars so that good. Although she did say I looked like a dork smoking a corn cob pipe> I read that as clearance to buy myself a new pipe...bonus! :applause:

Nice, I like your interpretation of your wife's comment. Glad you enjoyed smoking a pipe. You be sure to let us know when you start getting low on tobacco
