Did anyone know Arizona Fine Time retail shop and Cigar King in Scottsdale are the same folks?

Retail gouging like this are reason enough for me to never visit their shops. Unfortunately for me, this was a retailer that I always had high regards for... but to get their shipments of this and then turn to eBay versus sell it to their local folks... pssht. Cheers; I'm sure this is exactly what Pete was hoping you did with his limited edition.

...right? I just hope politics doesn't win out here and this post gets yanked. As dedicated BOTLs we're constantly looking to support our B&Ms, but on occasion this is the payback. Just sad.

..and their banner shows at the top of the page each time I refresh...lol. Oh, the irony.

Yeah, either way you have no idea if it's the same person or family related to them that run the other shop. We probably shouldn't jump to conclusions.

I looked and its the part of the store that sells fine watches. Supply and demand I guess. What'd ya do. Just glad I'm 'chasing' other sticks and not these. Had a couple mummy's and wasn't blown away. Love almost every other tat though.

Just for some of you that are not aware Cigar King and Arizona Fine Time is in the same building. They are the same owner this is sad. Every body raves about Cigar King however I have other experiences about Cigar King. They have some good emplyoees but clientle that I can do without. There are much nicer cigar stores in the area with better clientle. With that being said Scottsdale is also known as Snobsdale.

This is a pretty shady situation if it ends up being the case.

As for Pete, I think once the cigars are at the retailer it's out of his hands. This isn't the first time his sticks have gotten nutty prices thrown on them. I'm sure he's flattered and frustrated at the same time in that respect. But what are you gonna do?

Fact is, if want to create an image as a gouger, this is the way to do it.

It would suck if it is indeed CK.
Pete really doesn't have any say on what retailers do, what we have to all remember is that they are only cigars and with the number of non dress boxes being released, everyone will have a chance to get these at retail. Let them do whatever they want, if it comes out that this is indeed CK, they will simply not get any more of my business. In the long run, they are only hurting themselves, for a quick buck. G1

The eBay seller's profile picture is a picture of the Cigar King storefront. The items for sale on eBay are the same ones offered for sale in the store. Shaving stuff, watches, and cigars.

The question is no longer 'if' it is Cigar King, it is why. Why would a retailer that supports a website such as this figure one sale 100% over MSRP is more attractive than cultivating a business relationship with the members here. Most folks that frequent the cigar websites are dedicated BOTLs in form and substance; we tend to participate in the hobby with respect and generosity. We hold a general disdain for individuals that take advantage position; unfortunately, this is no different.

Let Cigar King explain it. Then as personal opinion, determine if you accept the response and wish to continue doing business with them. I will no longer support them, and it is unfortunate since I never had a negative thing to say about them prior to this.
