As I'm becoming more of an OpusX nut, I am always looking for them online due to local state taxes making them really expensive, on top of them already being HTF. I am subscribed to the found some Liga thread, and thought it was a great thread to start. It has helped me and I'm sure a lot of other brothers, have a chance to score some great smokes.

I thought a Found some OpusX thread would benefit us brothers trying to get our hands on some really good smokes, at fair prices. As well as giving everyone a heads up, of who has what in stock. I am always checking our site sponsers, as well as other sites to see current stock on OpusX, and find that 99% of the time, they are OOS.

If you guys think this thread is a good idea, please feel free to post any links, or give a heads up, on any shops that currently have OpusX in stock. Any OpusX. I'm sure a lot of us could benefit from this. For me personally, any OpusX I can find online, is usually $10-20 cheaper than being sold here in Ny.

If there is already a thread like this, please delete this thread, and I apologize for not seeing it. If not, and you guys don't mind another "Found some" thread, please post up when you can.

I can start this off with a link, which I think is a fair price, because for the same smoke here in Ny, my local shop sells these for $36 a pop. They are $25 ea here -

Man. I should have kept all of my Super Belicosos for resale. $25?! I wouldn't pay more than $17. Just wait till the next wave and I'm sure Emersons will get them at respectable prices. The thing about Opus is to pick them up right when the batch hits the market. Buy your fill then and wait for the next release. Buying inbetween releases is a waste of your money. That's when the gougers are licking their lips.

Tell me about it Eddie lol. It really hurts the pocket. I have yet to see them for sale, in stock, at msrp. Hopefully this thread can help fix that for me and many others. To me $25 is not as bad as $36 in my local shop in Ny, and I understand its still higher than what it should be, but for the people who have special occasions, and don't buy as many cigars as we do, I'm sure wouldn't mind shelling out the extra $$ to get a nice Opus or two for a special day, and not have to wait for that wave

If I want Angel Share, Neptune has basically been my only option for the last few months. I didn't hear of or see any Florida brick and mortals get any Opus or Angel Share the last four months. Apparently they ran out of it, so no one in Florida got any Opus. Unfortunately, I missed my chance at ordering the Angel Share on Emerson's as I was a day late.

My good local shop has a few opus sizes left at MSRP. The other (insane) shop has tons of Opus stuff WAY overpriced. $60 destino lanceros, $79.99 Chili pepper, Opus 22 coffins for $80.

I am going to my good local today. Ill see what is left and at what price.

OVTC is another good source I use a lot....Old Virginia Tobacco Company

http://www.ovtc.com/Arturo Fuente Opus X.html#Cigar

As stated on their site...call before ordering so you know if they have stock. I buy a lot of the Reserves and at $16.31 that's a pretty good deal. Perfecxion X goes for $15.19 while the Fuente Fuente goes for $12.38.....these are very affordable prices and I've used these guys for years.

as a fuente nerd, i do love me some opus, but i really really hate gouging, both at retailer and secondary level, it just pisses me off. also, fuente has an aversion to internet, so you don't see a lot of stores offer on the internet. my personal recommendations:
1) find a solid B&M, build a relationship. this never hurts anyway.
2) go through our sponsors. this never hurts anyway, and these guys have ALWAYS been fair about things.
3) post ISOs here. some areas are more fuente-intensive than others. if one of us has, and can spare, talk pricing.

and, back to point, it couldn't hurt to keep an opus thread up, IMO. any time anyone gets a fair deal on something is a win, in my book. o)

I know I'm new but just to let people know, my B&M has OpusX at regular price, I think it's the No.4 they have in stock now, it's like $12. Also, they have Toast Across America samplers from 2011, 12 and 13 in stock if anyone is interested.
